I’m not trying to start shit when I type this, but think about it for a second.
Did SRK ever really accept GG easily? Hell no, GG had to keep on trucking while ignoring the dumb reasons people disliked GG for (you know them already), and now it’s at the point where it doesn’t even matter because GG’s numbers are so good, and only continue to get better. That shit took YEARS though.
Did SRK ever really accept HNK? Barely. Everyone was hype for the game for a month, it was at one major (TS6 I believe) and then it just died out completely.
Did SRK ever really accept Melty Blood? No. It’s obvious that they still hate it. I of all people would know >_<.
Did SRK ever really accept any doji game for that matter? Nope. EFZ, BBB, and Akatsuki to name a few are mostly ignored and not even bothered with.
It took GG years to get 50-60 people at majors, and huge numbers like at FRXI. It took MB just as long just to get its name out, let alone recognized, and it’s currently following in GG’s footsteps in establishing itsself.
And what’s the usual crop of stupid reason people don’t play these games? It’s an anime game, that shit belongs at cons with fa-ggot cosplayers. Shit is weird. It’s full of little girls. Whatever. Stuf that obviously pokes at the insecurity some people have here as to what their crew would think if they saw them playing the game.
So you would THINK a game that literally borrows gameplay aspects across the damn board and while barely making the conglomeration unique, and a game that is 1,000,000% every god damn anime cliche ever invented, and a game whose cast is LITERALLY composed of underage little girls would fucking bomb on SRK, right? You would expect that shit, right?
Nope. Far from it. Though the game’s community is still EC based at the moment, getting 40 people for your first major is crazy. The hype has died down a bit, but like it still doesn’t make any sense.
But like I said, who fucking cares at this point. AH2 is worth playing anyway, but YOU SHOULD ALL BE PLAYING FUCKING AKATSUKI BLITZKAMPF INSTEAD.

You forget that Arcana is way easier than a lot of these other games. Of all the people who got into AH1, can you even count how many Kamuis & Sakis there were? Hell, even Fionas for that matter? It takes so much less effort to feel competent with these characters than it does with anyone in GG.
But fuck yes do I agree on Akatsuki.
Blitzkampf is one of the best ‘awesome game no one gives a flying fuck about’ games ever.

It just feels like the matches tend to go longer than they should. It’s like there is good keep away, but when you get in you cant kill them quick enough, so it’s like fighting all over again.
