The source material is still ongoing. They just havn’t made any followups aside from the prequel movie in 2017. It was nice seeing how their world came to be.
Anyway, someone laid the Gurren Lagann OP over one of the scenes from the latest Demon Slayer episode (eps 12). It fits so damn well lol.
Was just reading some old Rosario+Vampire scans I had. I noticed there’s some new scans (LostNerevarine-Empire) version so I am DL those. It was fun seeing all these monsters, some I didn’t knew with what being Japanese-lore. I wonder what the artist is doing now.
I don’t think I truly ever knew how badly bleach fell off in Japan. I wasn’t super duper invested near the end but I did wanna see the ending. And when I heard the anime was ending I was confused then the Manga got that 3 chapter wrap up when originally it was gonna be a year I was like wtf. Maybe because I was a sophomore when it started but man listening to this depresses me to see a soul get sucked out of a creator.
Bleach’s problem was they built up Aizen so damned well, as the be-all, end-all, big bad of the series. That when he was FINALLY defeated? Fans were satisfied and there was no where else meaningful to go. Or any villian that could compare to Aizen’s greatness.
I remember loving Bleach sooooo damned much back in the day, and when Aizen’s defeat happened? It was Great but i was DONE afterwards. They should have bowed out on that great note and ended it there.
Trying to continue Bleach after Aizen’s defeat is like playing one of those RPGs where after you’ve beaten the game, it still lets you continue playing, revisiting other areas and stuff (Example: .Dot Hack G.U for PS2). That’s “cute” and all but, lets be honest, as much as you love the game, there’s little motivation to stick around for long revisiting old levels when the game is over.
After Aizen’s defeat we should have gotten 4-5 closure episodes and then put it to bed.
Agreed, but the problem wasn’t just Aizen being off the board, the author kept bringing in New BS or characters without finishing what he started. You could have gotten a few more arcs out of Bleach but when it is the same bull shit with different designs and broken powers, who wants to stick around for that?
Either way, it isn’t right to say Bleach “failed” or this “Fall of bleach” non-sense. As if it flopped. The show was a Huge Hit and Success but, it had simply run it’s course after Aizen was done.
And Naruto can suck it. Bleach was DBZ’s TRUE successor. It was DBZ with swords & magic.
No way, OP is definitely DB’s successor lol. Both in popularity and heck, even in feel. Bleach is way more on the edgy end. DB didn’t get like that until Freiza arc.
I disagree, but that’s irrelevant to the point. OP is definitely much closer to a DB successor than Bleach is. I’m not saying I like one or the other more.
Also, if you consider the tonal changes, HxH is even MORE of a successor to DB, but with way better explained combat. It even starts a lot sillier than it is later on in the line, main character is a wild, simple (kinda dumb) kid on adventure, etc.
Low key I agree with this. Bleach at its peak was on a unfuckablewith level. One Piece was always good and I honestly stopped caring bout Naruto after chuunin exams, but Bleach went beyond.
Bleach stopped being great after Soul Society, it was average after that then slowly fizzled out .great action scenes atleast
OP was consistently good, even tho I lost interest due to it being long af. Easily the most creative of all the series, closest to DB imo in terms of tone
Naruto, i enjoyed all of part 1 despite how frustrating Naruto himself was. I didnt care for Shippuden til Naruto started training to fight Pein. Ending was weird, not horrible but def weird
HxH, my personal favorite even tho alot of character designs are lackin in comparison. Starts out cheerful but takes a hard turn.
Superb plot which touches on subjects you would NOT expect a shonen to analyze, characters and nobody is safe in the series. Too bad Togashi will never fuckin finish lol
