So I just started Code Geass, saw the first two eps. Yea I know 13 years late to the party, yadda yadda.
This Lelouch fella is on board an enemy mech he just stole and all of a sudden he’s got chess pieces to strategise with. It’s like he carries these pieces with him all the damn time or some shit. And then you have his childhood friend doing spinkicks for days. Now I know why he got meme’d on as Spinzaku. JIBUUNN WOOO lmao

RIP two greats going right after the other, sad week for the manga industry.
Instead of Crunchyroll or Netflix, I just pirat-…uh, copy my purchased anime DVDs/blurays to my hard drive and have Plex set up to watch stuff. It’s very convenient and I have hundreds of series to surf through. I just lack the motivation to watch most of it. Probably worth doing if you’re sick of the subscription model.
I’m always behind on manga though, been using online readers for years and tend to lose interest in series, or don’t invest enough time+energy looking for the good stuff. Only manga I mostly keep up with is Ippo. If there’s a way to auto download+organize manga with notifications, I might read more.
…official sequel manga titled Mugen no Jūnin - Bakumatsu no Shō (Blade of the Immortal - Bakumatsu Arc). Kenji Takigawa is writing the story, and Ryū Suenobu is drawing the art, with Samura credited for collaboration.
The sequel is set in the Bakumatsu period in the 19th century (the original manga was set in the earlier Edo period), and follows the main character Manji, who starts the story in a life of seclusion in the Tosa domain, but heads to the capital for a certain reason. The story will have him confronting the strongest warriors of the time. The magazine’s preview shows famous historical figures, such as Sakamoto Ryōma, as well as Shinsengumi members Okita Sōji, Kondō Isami, and Hijikata Toshizō.
Why is VRV so dumb? I can’t even choose my own username I have to use their fucking stupid randomizer? And their website and apps are laid out horribly. I had been hoping they we’re fixed since they were horrible at launch. But fuck. Guess not.
The anime was slated to premiere in April on NTV’s “AnichU” programming block, but was delayed to October. The anime is also scheduled to air for two cours (two quarters of a year).

As someone who has worked specialized retail pretty much his entire life Skull-Face Bookseller Honda-San speaks to me on so many levels. It’s super funny too.
One of the best things about Kimetsu no Yaiba is the liberal use of Necalli Nezuko’s St. HK.

Damn, they did that very nicely. Almost makes me think the investment to import the Asia version with English subs could be worth it.

The anime’s website notes that the project will be a “complete anime adaptation” but does not list the format of the anime. The website also lists the anime’s title as Mugen no Jūnin -Immortal- .
