I think that AlphaCharlie problem is that he jumped into Baki from the Netflix show.
So he went with a different expectation of what the show is about.
Lets not forget that Baki got his shit pushed hard on the 1st arcs of the manga.
If you dont have the context of the 1st arcs, you dont really get how Ali Jr. is a parallel of Baki, and how if you arent able to get in the mindset to survive on the world of underground martial arts, you wouldnt get that far.
Anyway, i think there is always a chance we could see Ali jr. back.
Is not like Itagaki doesnt revisit characters in future arcs, or that he will ever stop writing Baki.
Plus, he also likes to retcon stuff as years passes.
Like how Yojirou is now a noble demon, instead of the irredimable psycho he was on the 1st arcs.
I have friends that started with the netflix show that are surprised when they see how a fucking asshole Yojirou was before, lol.

Apocrypha suffers from too many characters without all the interesting writing and world building the Fate series has, but I hope you do enjoy it. Overall decent show. Astolfo best boy tho.
The action is solid but you can tell it is Fate on a budget. Better then the original anime but not up to Zero, UBW and the recent Grand Order one based on the phone game.
