I wonder what kind of pleasure you have to derive in order to keep fansubbing shit. If it was me, it’d be a race to whoever releases subs first, but even then I’d feel it doesn’t feel truly rewarding.
I hate this mindset with fansubbers because being the first to release a fansub to get more dls doesn’t have any meaning. A lot of the times the translations are ass because they’re rushed.
I dl’d the new eva movie and it was all corrupt. Guess that’s a sign for me to wait, though I wanted to get it out of the way. I don’t even know why I keep watching these eva movies. I guess I just get caught up in the hype.
Maybe they want the dl count. If there were 3 different subs available for one show, I’d probably aim for the one with the most seeders just so I can donwload faster. Maybe it’s then a sense of achievement their torrents are the ones who lasted the longest.

Just sat through both Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha movies after seeing a commercial for it …
Now I remember why I dont bother with anything that does not have a 50+ foot tall robot in it lol. I mean, its surprisingly good, the fight scenes that is. Who thought something with a bunch of 8 year old little girl characters would have badass attacks and weapons like that, and even better pretty much no creepy littlegirl upskirts! But fuck me, those movies were long as hell, 2 and a half hours each, and that second movies last fight was like an hour long. But really it goes from like “teach little girls lessons in friendship!” to “PHOTON LANCE GENOCIDE SHIFT BLAST!” sooo quick lol. Would totally watch a third movie if I can skip the in between stuff and get to the fights. It really is the worlds craziest DBZ, Gundam, Sailor Moon Mashup ive seen.
Really appreciated the weapons voice actors though, getting native speaking people to do the voices instead of Japanese actors trying to speak English, German ect.
Im usually the first to complain that fight scenes are not long enough, but an hour is way to much to be messing with one enemy.
Apparently HBO might be working on a live action adaption of Monster. That has potential to be godlike depending on cast/how faithful to the manga it is. I’d watch it.
