Anime & Manga Thread v.5 FAQ/IRC: See OP. Welcome to 2017

Yup.

I didn’t like sun ken rock at all.

Shinsekai Yori 23

[details=Spoiler]That amulet was the psychobuster? Did they say it was an amulet?? I have no idea why the hell Shun’s back in the game again. The preview for 24 suggest Satoru risks his own life, but I feel that may not be the case… not like that if anything.

Also, Inui san could have potentially survived if he chose to dodge the centipede rather than attacking it. Oh well.[/details]

The faces in this vid is disturbingly humorous as fuck. God damn nightmare fuel I say.

Smoke weed is the secret to kawaii yo

I’m not sure how I feel about the ā€œNozoki Anaā€ OVA.
I mean…it’s like they took a tender and heartfelt love story about people who enjoy masturbating while spying on people having sex and turned it into a raunchy softcore porn.
Worse still, is the nipple detail just isn’t that great. Where are the bumps? Where is the subtle erection? Where is the varying color? Where is the size and shape difference? There is no way that Emiru has peanut butter colored nipples. They should OBVIOUSLY be light pink…though I would accept a darker tone for the sake of a masturbation addiction subtext.
7.32/10

Guess I won’t need to watch it then. I’ll just continue reading the novel.

please tell me i’m not the only one who’s going to spend 500 on those Ranma Blu Rays

What’s good in anime and manga these days? I’ve been out of the loop for a while. I keep up with the Beelzebub manga because I think it’s funny, but that’s it. Got tired of Naruto and Bleach. Rather, I’ll just wait for Naruto and Bleach to finally end so I can read the rest of what I missed.

HXH is all the shounen you will ever need.

Unless you feel like punishing yourself, then you can read Claymore lol.

Edit: Watched the newest Tempest, I am not understanding why you guys are shocked. I guess what happens next is really gonna fuck with your teenage minds lol.

Lol silly ending of Initial D 5th Stage ep 10…

[details=Spoiler]The whole logic of battering other rides is dumb because it’ll damage your own car as well. Hojo’s dumb in that aspect. Now there’s Ryousuke trying to stop the R32 with his own brakes… and if you really wanted to stop the car, you could’ve. Except Hojo continues to step on the gas, and Ryousuke isn’t stepping any harder on the brakes.

Then there’s the other dude who isn’t doing anything about it and is continually watching.

Ryousuke: "omg I can’t stop!"
me: ā€œJust move out of the way and let Hojo kill himself!ā€[/details]

I think we had like 3 claymore readers in here. I’m pretty far back and have no real motivation to continue.

Damn cliffhangers. Pacing is all over the place with 5th Stage, they fly through everything else and spend two bloody episodes on this grudge match. While there are some pretty neat racing moments, they’re too few and far between to really warrant this much devotion of time.
5th stage eps 09-10 melodrama rant

[details=Spoiler]Seriously they could’ve just done away with half of the monologue bullshit in these two episodes, especially when it’s just the damn dude crying ā€œKAORIKAORIKAORIā€ over and over again (for the 20th time within the past 3 minutes I might add). Fuck man, you’ve probably only met her for 15 minutes. Tops. That scene where he was reminiscing over her and managed to only recall her physical attributes, I couldn’t help but laugh. You ain’t know jack shit about her. At least on Ryosuke’s side of the fence, they was an actual proper connection there, but even that still felt shallow as hell to me. Then again Initial D and Shigeno ain’t suppose to be some genius love story either, so I’ll lay off.
[/details]

5th Stage Reply

[details=Spoiler]Hojo doesn’t give a shit about his car nor his own life. Dude just wants to vent and die. He’s a man on a mission with a death warrant, either his own, Ryosuke’s or both. The reason why he doesn’t let off the gas is probably because he’s too consumed having a go at Ryosuke. If he lets off, Ryosuke runs away which is most likely more important than his own life to him. Of course now that he’s on the verge of death and sees the light, he’ll realise what a dumbass he’s been all this time and have a change of heart. Ryosuke ain’t gonna let him die too, cause he’s trying to playing the saint in all this and get the guy to move on.

I found that sidewinders guy chasing them kinda funny too. Dude just wanted to get back at Shinigami for being a dick and instead he gets dragged into an ugly grudge match that has been 2 years in the making. Guy’s in waay over his head hahaha I’m predicting he’s gonna get in front of the other two cars and help brake as well, which is the reason why he’s even in the picture at all. Hero back-chair racer lol

EDIT: Saint Young Men OVA subs. FUCKEN GET!

Magi - 22

Magi 22

Spoiler

As Alibaba and the others make their way deeper into the dungeon of Zagan, Yamraiha is keeping tabs on them back in Sindria, via her water magic. While giving Sinbad and Jafar a SITREP of sorts, Yamraiha senses something is happening to her magic. Outside, a barrier constructed by Yamraiha is suddenly penetrated by Judal as he makes his way to the palace. An alert is issued and Sindrian forces meet Judal as he touches down and though Jafar tries to attack Judal, he is knocked back by one of the Magi’s attacks, but as he prepares to attack once more, Sinbad steps in and tells Jafar to stand down.

After Sinbad asks Judal why he is here, Judal goes on to talk about the current Magi situation and how there are only supposed to be three total in the world at any one time (currently himself, a woman, and a man that is responsible for the dungeons). Judal then goes on a tangent, saying that he is a victim of the Organization, having been used by them - after recalling a past memory of his when he last encountered Aladdin. Though Judal actually appears to be in anguish due to the thought, it is short-lived as he jokes about it, saying that he’ll do what he wants. Judal then goes on to somewhat detail the plans of the Organization - the basis of it being war against Sinbad’s efforts and a particular interest in Alibaba and Aladdin, who are apparently not out of the groups’ reach even while they are in the dungeon.

In the lower levels of the dungeon, the group encounters Zagan again, but this time around, Aladdin points out that who the group has been talking to isn’t a djinn, but a familiar that is a manifestation of the actual Zagan. Alibaba has had enough of the fake Zagan’s antics and he goes to attack it but the ā€˜fake’ is still quite formidable due to the influence of earth-based magic of Zagan. Both Alibaba and Hakuryuu get knocked down and as Morgiana tries to get them to safety, she, the two guys, and Aladdin fall into a large hole that was opened up by the ā€˜fake’ Zagan. As the group is falling, the ā€˜fake’ says that they’ll meet their end when they are eaten by the familiar’s true form, which lies at the bottom.

Morgiana is at a loss at what to do after an attempt by Aladdin to recover is thwarted by the ā€˜fake’, when suddenly, the bracelets on her arms glow and the chains unbind, allowing her to reach out and save the others in mid-fall. After making her way back up the hole and placing her friends topside, Morgiana jumps back into the hole to fight the familiar, using her chains to propel herself down there. Upon encountering the familiar’s true form (a carnivorous plant), Morgiana hasn’t a clue on how to attack it, but after a voice is heard (a familiar related to Amon), Morgiana gains the ability to wield fire (via her metal vessel) and utilizes it to defeat the monster/familiar and it’s clones topside. Though Morgiana feels that with this new power that she is able to help her friends out in the future, the unleashed attack has apparently taken a toll on her body.

Alibaba and the others make their way down to where Morgiana is and are surprised to see her in the state that she is in. It seems that she used up a lot of her own magoi in that attack (as limited as it was), resulting in her weakened condition. Amidst the fallen familiar’s form, the girl who had appeared earlier is found to be safe as the group makes their way into the treasure room. Inside the treasure room, a worldly sight is seen again upon entry (like in Amon’s dungeon). The group isn’t alone as the Arms Dealer appears with a man and a woman. He tells the group, particularly Alibaba and Aladdin, that they are part of the Organization’s agenda to help them realize their goal.

Minami-ke Tadaima - 10

Minami ke Tadaima 10

Spoiler

[list]
[]The kotatsu, a familiar used item in the Minami household during the colder months, is not being utilized as Haruka realizes that the energy consumption has gone up quite a bit, resulting in her enforcing an ā€˜eco friendly’ household. Something that she is taking seriously, though she appears to be cheap and thrifty in her household actions.
[
]When Keiko and Mako-chan are visiting, Kana, Chiaki, and the others try to think about ways they can be eco friendly. Sharing a blanket to promote body heat between people comes up, but Mako-chan is unable to endure when he and Chiaki are cuddled up. Later, Chiaki tricks Kana to warm a blanket for her prior to sleeping, but Kana catches on and during the night, Chiaki catches a cold due to Kana hogging the (warm) blanket.
[]Chiaki’s classmates: Uchida, Yoshino, Touma, and Makoto (not Mako-chan) pay the sick girl a visit, bearing gifts in the form of food to help Chiaki get better. With the offerings of food, Kana points out that everyone is able to enjoy some sukiyaki due to Chiaki’s condition.
[
]Takeru stops by and offers to treat the girls to dinner at an izakaya. However, unlike the outing for sushi with Kana, Chiaki, and their friends, the Minami sisters put away a lot of food at Takeru’s expense.
[*]The eco friendly lifestyle at the Minami household continues and Haruka declares a ā€˜Pajama Day’, which is mainly a reason for her to indulge in being lazy. Mako-chan is unable to endure Haruka’s appealing form, along with Maki and Atsuko partaking in the event, particularly the dress-down part/changing clothes actions of the females, prompting him to propose that they all go on an outing for some sweets/dessert, which the mention of it is enough to pull Haruka out of her laziness to want to go check it out. While Mako-chan wonders where Kana is, Kana is enjoying some nap time.

Bakumatsu Gijinden Roman - 10

Bakumatsu Gijinden Roman 10

Spoiler

Admiral Perry, and the red-haired man/officer, have a plan to take over Japan that likely involves Koharu, the last of the Tokugawa line. However, it seems that Okuni has outlived her usefulness and the officer shoots her, causing her to fall overboard and off the warship. Thoughts of her past fill Okuni’s mind as she plunges into the water.

While Roman is determined to save Koharu, Hans arrives with an unexpected guest - the wounded Okuni. The doctor performs surgery to remove the bullet from Okuni. Later that evening, as Roman apologizes to a sleeping Okuni for having failed to help her in the past, Okuni ā€˜awakens’ and chastises Roman for his efforts, all the while saying that both ā€˜Okuni’ and ā€˜Otsu’ are dead. The woman then goes on to tell the story about her past.

When the woman was young, she and her younger sister were sold to pay off their parents’ debt. However, she had killed a man who tried to force himself upon the younger sister, causing them to flee. ā€˜Help’ from other men resulted in the same fate, causing the woman to distrust men in general. One winter, the younger sister was sick and though the woman tried her best to save her, the younger sister died, but with a smile on her face. Later, the woman was acquired by a brothel where she was made to take on the work of a courtesan along with taking the name of Otsu. As she grew up, Otsu despised smiles, for it reminded her of the lies of the men in the world and a harsh past, a complete contrast compared to Roman’s efforts. Though seemingly resigned to her fate as a result of the events in her life, Roman reminds the woman that she is alive, regardless. The gesture of a hug is enough to soften the woman’s demeanor, revealing her real name in the process - Yuki.

An injured Magoichi collapses in front of the home of his patrol boss, Katagiri. He is tended to by Katagiri’s wife, who tells Magoichi that her husband often spoke fondly of Magoichi when he was at home. Later, when Magoichi recovers, he sets out from Katagiri’s home with something in mind.

Preparations are underway as Roman and his group ready themselves to go save Koharu.

GJ Bu 11

Spoiler

Mao gets her hair brushed, Niku eats some meat. Shiori plays chess, Tama makes tea. Main character reluctantly endures several hands free blowjobs from a maid

I was hoping he was going to do that too. That would be the silliest thing to happen in all of ID.

Also, Psycho-Pass’s OP2/ED2 are out. the ED being out since the 6th.

Compared to Psycho Pass’ 2nd ED, I like Guilty Crown’s 1st ED more. They’re both performed by Chelly. As for her energetic pop songs, I like Psycho Pass’s 1st ED over Guilty Crown’s 2nd OP.

Holy shit fuck Psycho Pass!

Spoiler

You know what Masaoka could have done? Wrap his left leg around Makishima’s arm and body preventing him from tossing it.

Psycho Pass 21…

Jesus Christ Kogami, how do you miss that shot? How do you fucking miss that!? Oh well, I seriously hope that Kogami does end up killing Makishima in the end, even if he is punished for it. Don’t you fuck this up by shooting Kogami with the non-lethal Dominator shot, Tsunemori you bitch. Makishima needs to die, bastard killed my favorite character in the show. RIP old man…[/details]

Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai 10

Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai 10

[details=Spoiler]So yeah, we find out Kodaka isn’t as stupid as one would expect from a typical dense male lead of a harem show. I’m not sure what’s worse: a completely dense male lead or one that chooses to ignore that all the girls want to fuck him. They don’t exlain his reasoning, but I guess it’s just because he doesn’t want everything to be ruined should he get with a girl. Everyone in the show are obviously friends with each other (except Sena and Yozora, although it’s obvious Sena wishes they got along), but I guess everyone is too stupid to realize that, including Kodaka. Or maybe he’s playing it off like the situation with the girls.

I was really hoping Rika would make a move on Kodaka, but it seems she too realizes that it’d ruin the club atmosphere and ruin all their fun together. I was hoping that maybe, just maybe, there wasn’t going to be a ā€œno one endā€ and Kodaka was actually going to pick someone, but I guess this revelation has cemented the ā€œno oneā€ ending. Or maybe they’ll throw a curveball at the end! … Probably not. :|[/details]

Hype for Psycho-Pass. Gonna watch it tomorrow morning.

is there really 1 ep of psycho pass left? seems like they have a decent amount to fit into 23 minutes.

Rika was too good this episode. She might have surpassed Sena as my fav.
