Hrm, maybe I should check out Spice and Wolf, although it seems pretty dull. Might be something my girl will like.
Loved Spice and Wolf. I wish more of it got animated
I just finished Working!! both seasons. Now i need a new side slice of life series with funny and interesting characters to my main thrillers.
Enjoy it while you can.
O dang, Good Ending ended (with a good ending). bwahahaha
Finished Kokoro Connect.
Canât say I really like it. Basically the last 4 episodes were Iori being a whiny bitch and nobody getting her super obvious feelings. Final episode had some stupidities like [details=Spoiler] Kidnapping? Better not call the cops. Getting knocked out from somebody hitting you in the head with a pipe? No need for an ambulance here. Well I guess things between me and Iori arenât going to work out, would you go out with me Inaba? No youâre not second choiceâŚIâve always had feelings for you. Iâve just never showed them because I was too busy being in love with another woman. Oh hi Iori, its me, Mr Plot deviceâŚI think we are done. Bye.[/details]
In fact, I think Inaba is the main reason I dislike the show. She STARTED out great, a nice dark, 80/20 tsun/dere blend, then out of nowhere she goes likeâŚ30/70. Gross. It doesnât help that her voice actor sounds ancient. She must be 40 or something. Kiriyama was kind of my favorite character, until I think about how much of a whiny bitch with an obvious problem she was during the first dozen episodes or so.
After getting footage in an animation, some perverted sculptor is bound to do something. I will even post a photo once I find an upload on MFC.
In any case, Jojo, Bakuman and Shinsekai are resuming again!
Last 4 episodes of Kokoro Connect werenât bad but there were several âconvenientâ plot devices used that cheapens the resolution to the conflict. It was enjoyable enough and a good enough way to conclude the series.
Kokoro Connect episodes 14-17
[details=Spoiler]Inaba is my favorite character of the series but Iâm not entirely sure what to think of her progression in these last four episodes. In the last few episodes, she was portrayed as more âinadvertentlyâ cute which changed the qualities that I enjoyed at the beginning of the series; however, her cute side wasnât unlikeable as well. I just donât like how her character development followed the tsundere path so narrowly and the transition to a more open and honest character felt a bit off to me. I guess the main question is whether it was believable or not.
Itâs pretty interesting that Iori and Inaba pretty much had a role reversal by the end of the series. Iori was suppose to be the emotionally weakest female in the cast but turned out to be the strongest by bearing the hardships until she couldnât anymore hence the last 4 episodes. Due to Inabaâs tsundere qualities she was the emotionally strongest female up until midway through and then after that arc she was emotionally weakest.
The ending itself was good enough but several things felt a bit too convenient and it doesnât really address some of the key issues.[/details]
Suki tte ii na yoâs ending was lack luster as well with an episodic approach to the ending without doing anything with the characters. I would have preferred a similar approach that Tonari no Kaibutusu-kun took. Iâm not really sure if Suki tte will get a second season but Iâm more doubtful about this show even though I enjoyed it more than Tonari.
The new Hakkedden re-telling is extremely generic and I think they made a bunch of changes from the source material. I canât really remember too much from the original series but I was always under the impression that Hakkedden was set in Japan during the Edo era and not in a modern day setting. I was disappointed with the first episode and will probably drop this since it doesnât seem like the direction of the show will improve.
Wow GE-Good Ending indeed ended at a great note. that manga series did not feel dragged out like Kimi No Iru Machi (That Couple barely had sex yet still act like air headed idiots >.> with hella unnecessary filler)
i didnt even bother to watch the last episode, cause i already knew for some reason it would be like that. ep12 felt like a âconclusionâ of sorts to the series. and i agree I enjoyed Suki tte ALOT more than Tonari. I just like the more serious romances, tonari was way too comedic and childish IMO.
fuck i just asked for some decent kawaii slice of life series. supply me with them.
If you donât mind middle school girls and a cool big sister than Ichigo Mashimaro. Genshiken if you like a comedy resolving club activates with college nerds. Minami-Ke is great too but seasons one and three are the only ones that exist.
I consider Tonari to be in the romantic comedy genre while Suki tte to be in romance drama genre. However, I compare the two a lot because they took very similar approaches throughout the series and similar plot elements in both series happened conveniently at the same time of each other. It made watching both shows more interesting for me.
Niggas hating on titties. SMH. Yâall are some faggots.
My problem with Sukitte isâŚ
[spoiler=sukitte ii na yo]that everybody changes personalities at the flip of a switch. Mei in episode 1 is nothing like Mei in episode 2-13, Yamato is like âyou kicked my friend, letâs kiss and fall in love for no good reason lol,â Aiko is like âI like him and youâre new here, I donât like youâŚbut you defended me once so lets be the best friends ever and Iâll do anything for you,â Megumi is like âhi, being fake and dominating every episode with my boring ass, now i completely change personalities and disappear for the rest of the show,â Kei is like âI spent 2 years getting ready for my revenge, wait, random girl i met yesterday thinks thatâs a bad idea, so nevermind,â Thatâs not coincidence, thatâs just lazy writing. And the last episode was just flat out bad. MISUNDERSTANDING DRAMA for 22 minutes? Not even misunderstanding comedy, MISUNDERSTANDING DRAMA. Seriously? This late in the relationship? As an ending? Are you bullshitting me?
Overall the show was okay, good when itâs on point, and kind of annoying when itâs not. Tonari was waaaaaay better IMO. Even as a somewhat slapstickish comedy romance series, it does an exponentially better job expressing real personal development and relationship change than Sukitte did.

You have to understand that these shows are being written by people whoâs only contact with other human beings is through watching anime cliches on a tv screen or by hanging out with sexually repressed manga artist/writers/salarymen. That and soulless prostitutes that spend all their dick sucking money on drunk male hostess. In short, Japan is a shithole and almost nothing good comes from it that doesnât actually reflect that true Japanese essence of hopelessness and homogeneity the permeates itâs society.
You know what they need to do. Make a slice of life comedy where all the characters commit suicide and get replaced like every other episode. That would be a REAL SLICE OF LIFE.
Holla back.
Of course they donât want real slice of life. Thats like saying "I want to play a fighting game where a real black guy is going to buffalo headbutt me in the mouth and then rip off his shirt"
Although, maybe a slice of life show about a guy who stalks middle schoolers could do well. He does stuff like put on a suit and tie and walk around the school on parent teacher day, pretends to cheer for his daughter at the track meet while taking pictures of her. Hides a camera in a cooler during the beach episode etc etc.
Did you watch Onii-Ai last season?
Lucky star, A-Channel, Acchi Kocchi, Hidarmari Sketch, Hyakko. Hyouka, Dai Mahou Touge, Pani Poni Dash, Azumanga Daioh, Strawberry Marshmallow, The Legendary K-On, Ladies vs Butlers, club to death angel dokuro chan, School Rumble, Mahoromantic, Genshiken, Magipoka, Popotan, Nyan Koi, Kanokon, The Legendary Strike Witches, Ookami San and her 7 companions, spice and wolf, Mitsudo Moe, Tari Tari, Hanasaku Iroha, Grand Master Yuru Yuri, Natsuiro Kiseki, Morita San wa Makutachi, Penguine Musume, Kemeko DX, Nichijo, Seikon no Qwaser, Toradora, Asobi Ni Iku Yo, Gokujo.
Oh yeah, THAT guy.
A show entirely about HIM would be morbidly humorous.

Watched Mayoyuu Maoh Yuusha.
I hereby rename it as âSpice and Juggsâ
Its got the soothing boringness of spice and wolf with the enticing blobiness of modern anime. It is was a videogame. Nerds would complain about how they dumbed down the sequel.
Chiaki-ke Tadaima episode 1 aired.
Excellent, definitely not as poverty asâŚotherâŚseries.
Yay, Magiâs back
