i liked Ichizon season 1 only because the main nigga had swag, he wasnt a bitch, he called that shit his harem. ill probably marathon season 2 after its done…which is what ive been doing with alot of shows lately, its hard to keep interest waiting week to week, only bakuman, chihayafuru, and fairy tail doing that for me right now.
Don’t bother with Season 2 of Ichizon. All they do is make 4th dimension comments about how they’re going to cancelled from the show. There’s nothing wild or adventurous like in Season 1, and the show ends on the 9th episode with them cleaning up the council room because they were graduating from the school.
the Hecatom camp dismisses the actions of the people because they do not overlap with his preconceived notions of human behavior in reality. The other camp (you and everyone else) seems to approach PP with the opposite mindset, condoning all actions of the people as logical within the context of exposition given thus far. Both of you are incorrect insofar as letting personal judgment and moral bias cloud the intended effect of PP, not looking at the bigger picture. The morally ambiguous words and actions presented in PP are meant to polarize viewers exactly as they have done so in this thread. PP attempts to test both it’s characters and audience’s moral leanings by the age old test between a rock and a hard place.
PP
Spoiler
When Makishima was talking to the hunter about him being tested and confronting his true self as much as Kogami that was the writers addressing the audience directly. Like all great sci fi dystopian fiction PP presents an exaggerated reality of our own, magnifying problems that exist in real life society so PP is a cautionary tale. however it seems to go a step further in positing to viewers that such problems may have no definitive answer and may be a necessary in order for society to function normally, sort like a pick your poison motif.
I’m pretty sure we’ve brought up the idea that PP is written in a way to elicit emotion so the fact that we’re arguing whether the actions within an episode are right/wrong/believable/unbelievable is perhaps a sign that they’re doing it right.
For me, if a show has 1. likeable/memorable cast 2. good soundtrack 3. doesn’t look like shit and 4. isn’t totally idiotic with the plot…
That’s all I need. Actually, even the last point is somewhat negotiable. Being novel or groundbreaking would be cool, but never at the expense of substance.
Psycho Pass delivers.
You are thinking way too hard for the show. It’s not THAT deep. lol
Also, regarding Seitokai no Ichizon, I got got it confused with some other show. First season was great. I totally forgot the second season aired… but it sounds like I didn’t miss much. Thankfully.
Only thing I can do is continue to watch Psycho Pass and continue to enjoy the fuck out of it. I watch anime for entertainment purposes of course. I take an extra pleasure from that experience if I can learn something etc.
Psycho pass does a great job I have not one complaint about this show.
Now that last episode was just heads and tails above a lot of stuff. Makishima is getting his Dark knight joker on lol I would like to know what his motive truly is cause once he awoke I was like its on he dont strike me as those guys that go quietly into the night lol.
The only complaint is we gotta wait a week for another episode.
Tempest continues to be solid IMHO. I was on the fence about archiving this show and owning the dvds/blurays but I will add it to the collection.
[details=Spoiler]Uh…hmmm…Sibyl System to be a super computer of human brains is a serious let down. It might as well be Minority Report. lol
The revelation of Kasei to be Touma was cute but Makashima killing Touma off right after wards kind of under values it. We’ll probably see a transition in the storyline at this point. Due to the fact that Makashima notified Kougami of his escape, I’m predicting that Makashima will start manipulating the actions of the group in order to expose the Sibyl System. This will obviously work towards the goal of getting rid of it, but obviously not in a delicate way. Makashima will still be the final boss but the end result of the Sibyl System getting changed will still happen.
Everything in between is pretty much up in the air and we’ll see how many survive at the end of the series.[/details]
Not a whole lot to say about this episode of Robotics;Notes other than that it’s just teasing us now. Very solid character development episode but that was to be expected given what happened last episode.
[details=Spoiler]A part of me really expected there to be some sort of moral ambiguoity when it came to the whole Sybil System but considering how hammered it was that it was “bad” I guess I shouldn’t be too surprised when it turns out that Sybil green is people.
I do wonder what the rest of the show is gonna be about though, stopping the Sybil system?[/details]

Seitokai no Ichizon
Weren’t you people crazy for this show when it first came out? I haven’t heard a mention since it started airing again. Its pretty good.
Maybe it was seitokai Yakuin domo that people liked.

I liked both. Haven’t seen the second season yet though.
Yooooo, I’m actually hyped for Gantz right now. This is the final showdown. This alien dude ain’t about that life, Kuruno has killed shit 10 times scarier than him.
very slight Gantz image spoiler=bitches Osaka team has smoked
He even said it himself, he was calm when he got called out, he knows this is the lame last boss after the really hard 2nd to last boss.
also, psycho pass 17
[details=Spoiler] Actually, who the hell is going to be giving order now that the old lady is dead? they never show anyone but her telling people what to do. I think we’re gonna see the team pretty much running wild at this point, doing whatever the hell they want. Prob all of the enforcers for that matter.
The old lady did said that he was merely a representative. The Sybil system likely has more old ladys like that around somewhere. They 247 brains strong. Easily replaceable.
This. So. Hard. Concerning art, across all mediums there exist a group of vocal idiots who whine and bitch about insert name of fictitious work here not being original enough for them. It’s as if these retards think it’s possible to come up with an idea for a story that has not been done before by someone else at some point in history. in the book The Story Of Film the author goes in depth into this topic and basically says originality is dead and the best you can hope to create is a story that reflects your personal thoughts on life whatever they may be. Most if not all artists acknowledge craft taking precedence over concept.
If Transformers 13 or COD 84 turn out to be really well made and entertaining then I’m not going to complain much.
How can anyone argue with this great wall of logic? what a well thought out and incisive comment. Totally worth taking the time to type out, I’m so glad you didn’t lazily and ignorantly be dismissive of my post as some other retard might, nope you took the mature route thanks =].
