how come I didnt know Fate Zero was out? Now theres something worth watching till more Attack of titan and Jojo come out

I’m late on the response but: Milf? Touwa Meme (Denpa Onna whatever long ass name)… Maybe Minase Akiko (Kanon)

500 y.o. Kiss-Shot.

But she’s a vampire so you can take it or leave it.

Man Fate Zero is really good, better then fate stay night

Well Fate/Stay Night anime isn’t exactly a very triumphant benchmark in the first place really. Not that I want to take anything away from Fate/Zero, cause that show was definitely good shit.

Those two are definitely good candidates. Their kids are almost grown adults who can look after themselves (well one of them anyway, the other still has some mental issues that will need to be worked out but you can palm it off onto the boy anyway) and the other man is no where to be found at all. Otherwise you’d have to go through crazy motherfuckers like him

Between Meme and Akiko, I think Meme just edges it out. I’d rather put up with her shenanigans

than go through the Akiko jam treatment.

Yo, you tell us. We ain’t you, show’s been out for over a year man lol

I think Fate/stay night got hate mostly cause its based of hentai, though I didnt even know that till someone told me. Rin and Saber are more inserting characters then any loli

Fate/Stay Night got hate because it was a shitty adaptation.

from the hentai or manga? Doesnt matter though cause I dont read mangas. Its like those people who go to movies and say the book is better. I really dont care cause I dont read books

Original source material can have an effect on how adaptions are received by inviting unnecessary comparisons, but I really don’t think that’s the point you’re trying to make here. The fact that the original VN had H scenes has nothing to do with why the Fate Stay Night anime was bad (and gets shitted on by extension). It gets shitted on, precisely because it was bad, not because the original VN had H scenes, which is probably one of the most absurd statements I’ve seen put forth lol.

That would mean VN turned anime shows like Utawarerumono, DaCapo, Shuffle, KgNE, Muv Luv, White Album, School Days, ToHeart, Kanon, ef, Tears to Tiara, etc. would all get slammed for the same exact reason (because the original had H scenes), but they don’t. Instead, they’re all individually judged on the sole merits of the anime itself and the varying ranges of acceptance between each is reflective of that. A bad anime is bad regardless of the source the material, while a bad source material can inevitably result in a bad anime adaption, it most certainly has nothing to do whether or not the original had H scenes or not.

She’s there. She’s the one with the snot bubble.

Not sure if troll or just fucking stupid at this point.

real talk, that kid should take a long walk off a short bridge.

Saw Outbreak myself recently and I’ll echo GC’s same sentiment that the cliffhanger felt a little empty, probably because the main purpose for now was just to set the stage for later things to come. It’ll be interesting to see where they take things from here though (if they ever, but I hope they do). The possibilities are pretty much endless with Higurashi so I like that they’re exploring the setting that they are this time around, especially when it seems to be all the rage nowadays and I’d like to see Higurashi’s take on it myself too. ‘It’ of course being [details=Spoiler]a post-apocalyptic zombie type setting.

As absurd as K1 and Rena going Super Soldier HAM on everyone, I couldn’t help but cheer a little inside though. I guess it really wouldn’t have felt like Higurashi without some form of gruesome blood spill lol
It’s kinda like the feeling you get when welcoming back a good old friend again that you havn’t seen in a long while. Sounds kinda messed up since I’m relating the feeling to murder and shit though, but I guess Higurashi just does that to people lol. [/details]

To answer kro’s questions, Outbreak was a short story inspired by the Higurashi doujin-turned-canon fighting game, Daybreak. You can think of it as another side story, or another ‘what if’ scenario if you will. The short story only covered upto where Rena and K1 were waiting by the gates at night. That’s where the novel ended and everything after was anime original. The short was written by Ryukishi and supposedly ‘Takano’ (last paragraph) as well, but I don’t know how accurate that is or if there’s any truth behind such speculation or whether that would even apply to the anime version here as well or not, so take it as you will I guess.

The ending song is commonly known as “Dear You” (with shitloads of different versions out there) or more officially “you - Visionen im Spiegel” and it’s about damn time they finally used Dear You for the anime, considering it is probably by far the most loved piece of music by fans of the franchise (and with good reason too!)

I think that by including the song this time around, it could be a sign of Studio DEEN and the producers sending out a love song to fans of the franchise. The production values for Outbreak seem to reflect the extra effort as well since it didn’t reek so much of DEEN being DEEN as they’re so infamous for. But to be fair, the latest Rozen Maiden that they were in charge of was not bad at all and I hear Sankarea was pretty good as well, so perhaps they have been improving since I last kept tabs on them. I guess I can’t really hate them on that front as much anymore since they are getting better and showing signs of improvement from what I’ve seen.

What kind of worries me though is that Outbreak had a kind of funky release and was rather scarcely distributed. Only limited copies were sold bundled with (and I’m guessing to cross-promote) a goddamn Higurashi Pachinko machine lol It’s unusual so I’m not exactly sure if they have any actual future plans or not going off this… but a 52min OVA that didn’t exactly suck would be a lot of effort to let go to waste, so I’m hoping they have more in the pipeline.

Outbreak Company is pretty great, but if it was made by me, the main character would also be a cute girl, and a lesbian otaku.

Strike the Blood is 8th grade syndrome harem anime. Only one girl so far, but she is essentially devoted to him, and the intro shows multiple girls who will invariably be attracted to the main guy because of his rare and great vampiric power.

Witchblade?

How long is Outbreak? I need to still watch that shit.
