lol, you dudes knew damn well what you were getting into with that wrestling show when you all busted your nuts over the trailer. Them moans ainât going nowhere lol
Fooly cooly
tenjou whatever
High school of the dead
that anime where all the characters were lesbians and they had to fight a demon tranny
that anime where soda cans turn into girls
I donât get why you need to write this in a fictional show anyway. All you have to do is tune in to TNA to see how much of a joke theyâve turned wrestling in to.
Free! - While cliched that was probably the best way they could have ended the season. Surprisingly, the series wasnât too bad but I think KyoAni played it really safe by trying to cater to both gender audiences. Free! definitely felt like a KyoAni anime with gorgeous animation but they still focused on moe characters and character drama. I would have liked to see KyoAni take a different direction with Free! and just focused on a shonen audience and made the series about competitive swimming.
Kyokai no Kanata - HmmâŚpretty underwhelming because even despite having super natural elements and other interesting concepts we still end up with a moe female lead and an uninteresting male lead. Might be too early to tell after the first episode so Iâll give it a few more episodes.
Kuroko no Basuke S2 - Excellent start to the new season and delves right into the action. Production IG living up to itâs reputation with a ridiculous opening animation quality.
I like to view each member of the Miracle Generation as Mega Man bosses. lol Itâs just really interesting to see the main characters try to over come OP characters with various strategies and techniques.
Hajime no Ippo S3 - Pretty much the same as Kuroko no Basuke but they went even faster and got right into a boxing match the first episode. Pretty bummed that they had to replace the VA for the coach as the original VA passed away a few months ago.
Kill la Kill - Trigger really likes the style over substance approach but Iâm completely down for it. You basically know what youâre getting into with Kill la Kill so thereâs not much to comment about the series. I just want to know where they found the budget for the series because the animation quality of the first episode was beyond ridiculous.
Log Horizon - The initial premise sounds a lot like Sword Art Online with some minor differences. Unfortunately, I have to keep comparing this series with SOA because the premises between the two are very similar. I actually enjoyed the first episode quite a bit, as I feel it was handled in a much more believable manner than SOA. SOA was also very shallow relying on character concepts that the author thought would be cool and then used over the top action to try and carry the series through. Log Horizon on the other hand seems more varied and a lot of things about the story are shrouded in mystery.
Magi S2 - Directly picks up from the previous season so nothing really new in terms of approaches. It feels exactly like the first season so very easy to just continue on with the series.
If youâre looking for super realistic basketball, Kuroko probably ainât the show for you. Granted it ainât Prince of Tennis levels of busted (yet), thereâs a pretty fine line that itâs walking on and the balance seems just about right at the moment. Thereâs some slightly busted shit they do, but it ainât totally ridiculous to the point where they ainât even playing basketball anymore. Really enjoying the extra production values for the 2nd season (damn did that OP get me excited, see the embed below) and it seems to be a sign of how successful the 1st season and the overall franchise has been so far. I really do hope it continues to take off and sticks around for much longer to come. Maybe then, theyâll finally be convinced to animate the last part of the Slam Dunk manga (and not half arse that shit, otherwise thatâd defeat the whole purpose behind it all). The Nationals / Inter High tournament deserves it, especially that Shohoku vs Sannoh game to close the series off on.
Funny how we share a lot of the same thoughts. I wondered where Trigger managed to get all that funding for a 2 cour Kill la Kill as well, seeing as though Inferno Cop and Little Witch Academia sure as hell wouldnât have payed for it. Then I saw Aniplex and Kadokawa on the Producers list, that explains it lol It helps to have been around in the business for awhile I guess.
Something I just realized, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann was about manly, hot blooded men trying to drill each other right?m Then Kill La Kill is now about manly, hot blooded women trying to scissor each other.
Some kids in Taiwan actually loved the series so much that they recreated the intro.
why would you watch a anime about sports? When you can watch a anime that people do things they cant do in real life, like having powers? Or watch a anime like which is fantasy or sci fi. I mean you can watch sports in real life, cause sports is real.
I mean you can just turn on ESPN any time, but you cant watch stuff in real life like attack on titan, Jojo, or Guyver
