It felt completely like filler. I don’t really mind, but it was very obvious padding so that this could be 25 episodes. Not exactly a bad thing, as it means the next episode will/should be nothing but greatness. But If I was a anime only watcher I could literally have just watched the last 5 minutes of this ep and been good for the next.
The original song was actually by japanese girl band ZONE (Haruhi series gave a nods up to them with ENOZ, which is just ZONE spelt backwards lol). The AnoHana anime sings various covers of it using the voice actresses.
This was ZONE’s final performance before breaking up
yea that last episode took mech fighting to another level, such stunning animation.
majestic prince finale
Spoiler
but that ending was so cliche, copied straight out of gundam seed, lol. the gate was similar to GENESIS, and the way they found Izuru was similar to the way they found kira.
Coming from an anime-only watcher, all that filler stuff you guys were talking about in Shingeki eps 24 didn’t feel like it all to me. And I wouldn’t have even known until after I watched the episode had you guys kept that shit inside spoiler tags. At least one dude had the decency to spoiler tag his shit out of the last dozen posts. [/rant]
Shingeki is one of the very few and rare shows that actually knows how to do fillers right. Fillers in this show actually complements the source material and manages to make the pay off from it that much greater. Most fillers in other shows degrade into dumb shit like the Curry of Life in Naruto.
I am sad that the current season of Servant x Service, Watamote and Highschool DxD will be coming to an end (somewhat indifferent to Railgun at this point).
I also finally got around to watching the A Certain Magical Index the Movie the Incredibly Long Title. In a word ‘meh’. Might as well have titled most of the movie ‘A Certain Uninspired Vocaloid Knockoff’.
Do you think Anohana is a good anime? So far I’ve only watched the first episode. What about Angel Beats! ? I don’t know this anime but this song goes off the chain doe:
Angel Beats, not so much. It has a couple of moments, but there’s a lot more to be desired from the rest of it. It still manages to be pretty popular like SAO online though, so not everyone thought it was bad.
Yeah, not super optimistic about it getting another season. On the plus side, at least, the people making Servant x Service have, I believe, a track record of getting their shows a second season.
