I swear, did Psycho Pass just not come out last year?
depends on how you define a âgolden ageâ
i think a golden age is defined by how the amount of innovative, creative, and high production value pieces of work are put out in a certain time frame. many people look at the 80âs, and the 90âs as the golden ages due to a bigger concentration of master pieces released in that time frame. however, most of those people are American. and they donât realize that the ultra violent shounen or gritty seinen OVAâs were a fad, just like moe.
a lot of contemporary tropes of anime were formed around the mid 90âs, when daytime anime became much more popular than nighttime anime. all in all, people donât realize that CPM isnât controlling the western market anymore, nor do they realize that the newer generation of anime artists arenât aiming to please you pretentious crackers. More moe and elder brother x younger sister themes for you.
âMore moe and elder brother x younger sister themes for you.â Rofl.
Idk about golden age, but we are definitely in the dark ages. Need an anime renaissance in this bitch. Anime industry is looking real Hollywood right now is all I am saying before you get you pantsuâs in a twist faggots.
You can take this argument and apply it to even form of entertainment. Music movies video games etc etc etc. At the end of the day the only thing that matters is your taste.

âw months a flower or two will grow from the massive piles of Manure that dot the landscape, but more often than not they are quickly buried under yet another giant blob of moe poo. But you and all your neck beard friends just cannot get enough of that smooth rich creamy tasteâ
what is this guy even talking about
shingeki no kyojin anime will be shit
the manga only gets 1 issue every month
you didnt spell the series right
we dont know anything about the universe so the anime wont be able to reach any kind of satisfying conclusion to anything

angelpalm is just mad his girlfriend wonât wear shimapan like his favorite waifu.
I find the best way is to simply not watch the shit, thereâs generally at least a couple of decent shows each season and generally at least 2 standout shows per year, just because thereâs a mountain of shit that comes with it doesnât mean anime as a whole is going to shit, just that it has about as much shit as any other form of media.
That said the Moeshit craze needs to end so Kyoani can get back to making more Full Metal Panic.
and of course DeadMan Wonderland is delayed yet again.
Off to kill myself.
Why make FMP when moeblobs make so much more money? RIP FMP.

Spoiler
At a tournament in Fukui, Arata finishes in second place. Though he is praised for his efforts, Arata is more focused on competing in the National High School Championship, where he hopes to meet/face Chihaya and Taichi.
The Mizusawa Karuta Club is participating in a team tournament where the group had won last year and are now the defending champions. Akihiro hopes to play and do well for his younger brothers who idolize him after his siblings have a run in with Chihaya. When the group works on deciding a playing order, Akihiro makes a rash move in erasing Tsutomuâs name and replacing it with his own. Though Taichi and Yuusei scold Akihiro, Tsutomu is the one who actually suggests that the Mizusawa Karuta Club change up the playing roster and utilizes the data he had gathered from last yearâs matches. He suggests that Sumire play in their first round match against a male-dominated line up and that Akihiro play in the second round match against a female-dominated line up, Tsutomu considering gender matchups as well as certain opposing team tendencies/characteristics.
Sumire is shocked at the thought of actually having to play but things actually kinda play out as her opponent is somewhat charmed in having to play a female opponent. She takes notice of Chihaya who is playing very well and exhibiting great technique as she plays a perfect game. Sumire is inspired by Chihayaâs performance, though she has a long way to go. While the first match is going on, Akihiro asks why Tsutomu had spoken up on his behalf and Tsutomu says that he sees that Akihiro has the passion to play karuta and that he deserves a chance, reflecting on his experience from last year.
When itâs Akihiroâs turn to play in the next match, the pressure of having to perform well catches up to him, due to having his younger brothers watching in the audience and having to go up against an A-Class player. Though Taichi makes the remark that itâs fortunate (in regard to team dynamic/strategy) that the higher rank player is playing a lower rank member, Chihaya tells Akihiro that he is lucky to be playing an A-Class player, but in reality Chihaya wanted the opportunity to play the A-Class player instead, as remarked by the other Mizusawa members. Akihiro does his best, remembering what Tsutomu had said to him about his personal style and Yuusei giving him advice about certain cards that he should make his own, but it isnt enough when compared to the level of play of Chihaya, Taichi, and Yuusei.
The Mizusawa Karuta Club wins their first two matches, with Chihaya playing two perfect games and both 1st year club members losing their matches but gaining playing experience. Akihiro realizes that he has a long way to go if he expects to become a stronger karuta player.
Elsewhere, the current âQueenâ, Shinobu, is talking with an adviser about her participation in upcoming matches. However, it is news of Arata participating in the tournament match qualifiers that sparks Shinobuâs interest, causing her to possibly reflect on a past memory that likely involves the karuta player from Fukui.

At the ESP Society clubroom, Muroto teases Haruka with a random thought, which causes him to be punished by Yuriko, who strings him up like the caterpillar man in Onimusha. As the group eats lunch, the idea of a homemade lunch being made for Manabe by Haruka is proposed by Yuriko and though Manabe is excited by the thought, Haruka is a bit worried about it. Later, the club goes to a karaoke joint and Haruka is asked to sing. Though she is reluctant at first, Haruka slowly gets into the swing of things, but it turns out that she is tone deaf. After the club adjourns for the day, Yuriko and Muroto go off on their own, where the club president says that she still has an agenda that involves using Haruka. Elsewhere, Manabe is with Haruka and hopes to eat a prepared lunch from her soon.
The next day, Manabe is eating a convenience store bought lunch, which prompts Yuriko to admonish the worrying Haruka who is still embarrassed at the idea, though Yuriko reassures her that things will be okay. On the way home from school, Haruka tells Manabe that she will plan to surprise him the next day with something as they stop in front of a supermarket before going their separate ways. When Haruka reaches home, she takes notice of a flickering garden light in front of her apartment. While Manabe is on his way home, he is accosted by some men who are affiliated with Hiyoriâs dojo, as she has sent them to rough him up a bit, in regards to the Haruka situation and his public declaration for her, which still angers Hiyori. Manabe puts up a fight though and when the injured men return to Hiyori and give her a SITREP saying that Manabe is a bit worse for wear compared to them, Hiyori realizes things may have gotten out of hand.
At homeroom the next day, the teacher announces that Manabe has been in an accident but Haruka knows what really happened. She also hears Hiyoriâs feeling guilty in her thoughts about what happened and notices that Haruka is likely able to hear her. Instead of showing anger, Haruka says that Manabe will be okay and rushes off to the hospital to see him, surprising Hiyori who had thought that Haruka would have acted differently. When Haruka arrives at the hospital, she is relieved to find out that Manabe is okay, though she doesnât go into his room to see him. However, she overhears his thoughts where he says that it was good that she (Haruka) wasnât involved and that only he (Manabe) had gotten hurt instead. The statement weighs heavily on Haruka, who feels responsible for Manabe being hurt in the first place and she canât bear the idea of someone getting hurt because of her.
Manabe is released from the hospital a short while later. When he returns to school, he finds that Haruka is not present and that she has apparently moved out of her apartment, her whereabouts unknown.
No way we could all be wrong in saying that there is an overabundance of moe shit and shows with little girls in them. Itâs just our imagination right, we obviously are totally off base by even claiming that right?
lol
easy. they could moe-ify FMP.
Itâs been said over and over again that CUTE SHIT IN ANIMU has been there since the beginning. This isnât anything new.
Nobody said that, dipshit. The point is that youâre complaining about the segment of anime bullshit that you never would have liked anyway. Whatever moeblob dumbshittery is out now would have been shitty tenchi ripoffs or shitty dragonball wannabes or shitty ranma clones or shitty pokemon copies or whatever the dumb trend was at any particular stage. And thereâs like 3 times as much anime per year now, so of course thereâs gonna be more total shows in the 80% forgettable or bad shows that there have always been. Who cares? Itâs like complaining that a turd sandwich has mayo on it instead of mustard.
And the sad part is that the anime from today is barely different from the anime of the past
thatâs bullshit.
Like this post if youâre cool
This old/new anime debate is so boring. You guys really should be able to resist responding to the topic every time some new kid comes in here with that junk.
