wow, i know im late…but fuck Oreimo, it was borderline decent before the OVAs, but they just destroyed it. that whole shit was so pointless, and ridiculously dumb.

[]While the group is traveling, Ai is separated from the others and is ‘taken’ to Gora Academy. There, she experiences what she thinks school-life is like, besides meeting a guy named Alis and a strict teacher named Magiita. Ai wishes to resume her journey, but it appears that leaving the academy is something that students aren’t allowed to do.
[]Ai learns that Gora Academy is a place for isolating children with special abilities from the outside world. The girls Ai gets to know include: Volrath (who possesses excessive destructive power), the sister trio of Mimi, Meme, and Momo (Momo being a third entity/presence that lives on in the two remaining sisters), Run (who can breathe underwater), Tanya (who is blind and senses color and shape, in the form of sound). The boys include: Geeg (who looks like a kid, but has stopped growing up and is actually 22 years of age), Harley (who eats inorganic things and uses it for nourishment). Their special abilities having come from strong wishes near the brink of death.
[]Alis and the guys ‘interrupt’ the girls’ bath time and he explains that he is working on a tunnel in the lower levels to allow the students to escape from the academy. The transfer student, Alis, introduces the ghost, Dee, who is apparently a witch that appears and influences the people that she meets with her advice on things, via whispers.
[]Dee tells Ai that she has been observing the young Gravekeeper since she arrived in Ortus, per Alis’ request. Alis doesn’t give a reason why, but Dee goes on to say that the meeting between herself, Alis, and Ai, was fated to happen.

Can’t leave Ai alone for a moment, otherwise things happen.
Magiita channeling Revolver Ocelot for a moment there.
Besides Dee and that witch that was mentioned in the Ortus arc, are there other witches out there in the world?
Well, SAO was kind of the “hotshit” when it aired, but I don’t think anybody cares anymore.
I’d say Meduka would be the better comparison, because it is SO DARK and SO MATURE, AND “OMG SUCH A HEADFUCK”
Same here. The not taking itself seriously without just being random is a difficult balancing act and so far so good. I was also really worried about this series when I saw the art style (particularly Wolf) because most of the series that it immediately reminded me of can go fuck themselves.
Also recently finished:
Humanity has Declined…it was different. Yeah, let’s go with ‘different’.
Yuyushiki - I liked it. Wouldn’t quit put it up there with my favorite ‘slice of life’ animes but it was still good. I think it could have benefited from expanding its “roster” earlier or having a few more episodes.
And now it’s time to continue chipping away at the backlog. Suggestions on which to watch first between: Dusk Maiden of Amnesia, Kill Me Baby and Red Data Girl.
Also, WOW at the last 3 volumes of good night punpun. Things took quite a turn, forgot how good this series is. Looks like it’s finishing up this winter. I gotta say, it probably has the best art style of any manga I’ve read in a long time, not just the art the splicing of real world settings and objects, too good. Stuff like this is why manga will always be superior to anime.
Kind of depressed now. These type of manga always bring me down to earth…
Kill me baby def not worth watching, just read a chapter or two of the manga every now and then. I’m not really sure who approved it for standard 30 minute episodes, but it was very not needed. Would of been great at 5 minute shorts.
