Golden age of anime.
Pretty much the last 8 years have been non stop quality.
Something has occurred to me, and most of you, I’m sure, will probably dismiss it for being weird, or trolling, but…basically, for the last 4 years of my life, I have thought about K-On on a daily basis. Like, when I hear music, I see Houkago Tea Time. I mean, I see other characters too…but…still.
I was listening to Natsuiro Kiseki’s opening “Non-Stop Road” and I was saddened when I realized I couldn’t picture their faces.
Well, I confirmed that the Corpse Party OVA is shit. It’s rushed and they mixed up a bunch of the bad ends into one convoluted mess of a storyline to showcase gory scenes that may or may not have ever happened in the source material.
Being an 80’s kid back when these types of characters were hitting their stride, and quiet person myself, i have a particularly strong appreciation for the humble, stoic badass hero archetype(Ex: Kenshiro, Batman, Arnold’s Conan, Saber from Fate Stay Night/Zero, etc). Characters that truly have nothing to prove to anyone, and don’t need to constantly run their mouths to others to establish themselves.
Not to be confused with ego jackass types like Gene from Samurai Shamploo, and Sesshomaaru from Inuyasha. Who are “quiet” only because they somehow view themselves as being above others. Those guys are just assholes with no respect.
Anyway, yeah i assume you’re referring to the recent Golgo 13 tv series, which was pretty awesome and smooth. I saw the 2 seasons on netflix but don’t know if they made anymore.The Golgo 13 character is great, just a stone cold professional. Never goes back on a contract once it has been made, and Impresses bitches all the time without even having to say a word.
First off, this is Arnold’s Conan. Specifically the first movie. And add Superman to that list.
Secondly, Saber was awesome! She did the whole stoic, noble hero persona perfectly. A humble yet strong character standing up for what she believed despite harsh criticism, whipped ass when she needed too, and did’nt let her power go to her head. Trying to do whats right for her people but not going to any extremes. Great character.
I’m surprised someone actually sat through it all. I laughed at the first 10 seconds then packed it up with the quickness before I harmed myself any further lol
Female Buu would be the scariest Buu. It would be like skipping all the transformations and going straight to Kid Buu’s irrrational lets just blow up the universe nigga cause I am on my period. Fuck that.
