That’s pretty much the plot of Madoka in a nutshell :stuck_out_tongue:

I look at these Hunter X Hunter characters and i am thinkin “Damn, arcsys could make a good fighting game with this”

Knuckle and Shoot are like already perfect. Everyone in the phantom troupe works well. You could do some sick stuff with Gon and Killua and this season’s villains especially good for it.

I hope one day they make a game with metal like guilty gear. Hunter X Hunter really deserves it’s down game, and a fighter is one of the best ways to flesh out the characters

Just thought it was boring. Didn’t grab me, I didn’t particularly like anyone they introduced, I didn’t think the world was very interesting, and I disliked the info dumps about the library. Was just meh. Sorry for the vaguesness I watched in in 08 which was like a million shows ago.

Since you mentioned it I didn’t like Madoka either. I dropped that around episode 8.

I can understand why people might have gotten turned off before it got to some of the best stuff. Index is kind of obnoxious, and Touma does a lot of preaching in the first series.

Yea man Index was fucking annoying.

That’s alright. That just makes it easier to accept rather than just hearing others say they dislike the show without elaborating.

Looking on TVTropes, they’ve rated it “Level 3: General awareness is not guaranteed, but fandoms are sizable enough to be notable.” on their sliding scale of obscurity.

Shugo Chara was rated “Level 2: Detailed knowledge is mainly restricted to a specialized fandom, but most people in the fandom know about it enough to have some idea what it’s about.” with Skip Beat getting “Level 4: Fandoms are small, but sizable enough that the series still shows up on some radars. For example, you may be able to find a number of fan-videos focused on these series, and chances are that in any bunch of 10-20 tropers you might have one or two who know the series in question other than you. The internet has really helped bring these fandoms together, due to how small and scattered they tend to be.”

So I guess it sits nicely in between the two.

I liked Index when it focused on Accelerator and Misaka clones. I skipped all the parts where Touma started having lots of random adventures with nuns and mysterious organizations. It was boring as hell.

I concur. I like both Index and Railgun but where I to describe them a word that would feature prominently in both descriptions would be ‘inconsistent’. Some story arcs are good. Some are good but would have been better served if they’d been fewer episodes OR if they’d been expanded to a couple of more episodes. A few story arcs are downright bad/pointless. Thinking about it that seems to be an issue with a couple of the longer series’ that I’ve watched recently in Shakugan no Shana (and all the various sub-series and sequels) and Higurashi.

Those series are really only massive with the female audience though so I wouldn’t really say they did, I mean it’s like how no-one says “my god Naruto and Bleach are really overshadowing x series” because they have a lot of fans and are always showing.

As far as non long-running-shounen or fujoshi bait animus go I wouldn’t really call Index overlooked, most people into animu besides the categories I’ve just mentioned have at least heard of it.

I watched ahhh, what is it, railgun or whatever, well, the first 12 or so eps a few months ago, didn’t seem like anything special, so much so that I didn’t even bother to finish it. I also think I needed to have watched another series before it or something? I thought it was the first one…

The first railgun series was pretty slow and had too many tea and snack shenanigans and whatnot. I didn’t finish it. S is much, much better IMO.

I saw a Muromi-san in the previous episode, I think.

Finally got around to finishing the last two episodes of Aku no Hana. Last episode was pretty much one big blatant shout out to later contents of the story. If there’s no second season or a part II then colour me disappointed.
The rotoscoping definitely adds a lot to the show, I’m glad they did it. It captures little humanistic nuances so well. Much praise to the director.

Watched episodes 4 and 5 of Servant. That little pink bunny is fucking stupid as hell. The funny ground to a halt as soon as that thing showed up, I hope it never makes another appearance but i doubt I’ll get my wish. Episode 5 was much better by comparison. I dunno, seems people in here don’t like Hasebe but for some reason I find him pretty funny.

Episode 4 of C3 was kind of weird with the day dreaming stuff, but I liked the episode. 5 was interesting in that was an obligatory beach episode that I actually liked. While I don’t think the characters for the show are anything special I find I like pretty much all of them, and I like that Yura calls herself out on her own bullshit.

Need to catch up on Monogatari.

waaaait a minute, there’s a kimi no iru machi anime now? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA wow I’ve REALLY been out of the anime loop lately

ok, lets see where the first epd goes. Should I pick back up the manga? It took 200 chps for this dude to get laid lmao.

If Kimi no iru machi is anything like Suzuka (Which it is. And I haven’t even read it)

I’m going to happy.
Then sad.
Then fucking mad.
Then absolutely fucking livid.
Then I will burn with the rage of 10,000 burning, white hot imploding stars.
Then I’ll love the eventual ending and shed a tear.

If Kimi no Iru Machi is anything like Suzuka then the authour is just gonna keep dragging shit along till he finally gets bored and decides “Damn yo, I don’t feel like doing this anymore. Whelp, better whip out that half assed ending card and pack it up in the next 15 chapters”. And then he’ll redo it all over with his next series.

At least there isn’t an obnoxious title this time with Kimi no Iru Machi. With a title like Suzuka, you really do have to think long and hard on how things are gonna end, hm…

I was wondering where this post was. I tried to find it and didn’t see it. Ended up finding this instead

Now that’s an anime I could get behind! Though I’m sure those scenes are few and far between…
