Shounen is not a genre
Itâs a demographic(IE young boys)
If what interests young boys changes as time goes on then naturally the content of the typical shounen will change.
Theyâre airing Sword Art Online in August. May as well just kill a bunch of black babies. And eat them. Thatâs how awful it is. Worse than racist baby eaters!
lol canât wait for all the scrubs in the Toonami thread to jump on it like its the best thing ever, giving play by plays as the episode airs and orgasm like they are watching porn together.
What is it about Sword Art Online that makes it the John Cena/Justin Bieber/New England Patriots/Call of Duty of anime? I stopped after episode one.
Toonami has aired worse than SAO. From the very start(I mean OG Toonami) they have been catering to the type of anime fans who would enjoy SAO. Why would Toonami care about SAOâs hatebase? Naruto has a hatebase as well but there it is. Inuyasha? Ten years ago weâd be gobbling this up.
Spirit Jewce actually likes SAO, he just pretends to hate it because he doesnât want to reveal how much of a faglord he truly is. Too bad we already know that he is the Prince of Pansies.
SAO is for all the fan girls who wish they were rescued by some dumb guy that would do anything for them. I know a bunch of girls like that. Then there are those kids that want to be Kirito.
Anyways, the anime is really over-rated. Go watch Mondaiji-tachi ga Isekai kara Kuru Sou Desu yo? instead. Izayoi > Kirito. Donât believe? Watch Mondaiji-tachi ga Isekai kara Kuru Sou Desu yo? and then you will understand.
WaitâŚreally? I meanâŚI guess it sort of makes sense its not hisâŚsort ofâŚthe language they use in episode 5 is a little ambiguousâŚbut both of them? When the hell did that happen?
Just watched episode 8. I think more, multi-girl-date-juggling episodes should end in quadruple homicide.
Also, #TeamLoli is the best. I want a Yoshino sandwich on little sister bread.
pretty interesting episode of Valvrave and they kind of changed the intro too. L-elf is a badass and I hope that they show more of him. Also that kid thatâs part of the Dorsian army I believe his name is Q-Vier is CRAZY lol!

[]Following the awards ceremony in which Mizusawa is proclaimed the team tournament champions, Chihaya addresses the injury to her right index finger and goes off with Miyauchi to seek medical attention. Arata appears as Chihaya is leaving and wonders what is up with her when he asks Taichi, who remains silent.
[]In a convo with Taichi, Arata tells him of his thoughts regarding team stuffs. Arata also tells Taichi that he plans to attend college in Tokyo and that he plans to with the individual tournament for Class A. Taichi is taken aback by Arataâs statement (the coming to Tokyo part) and apparently has some thoughts about team stuffs, relative to his own POV on the situation.
[]Chihaya appears to have suffered a chip fracture besides having her right index finger swollen when it was injured in her match with Rion. Though it appears that the injury isnât too serious (despite appearances and possible second opinion stuffs), Chihaya is told to refrain from strenuous physical activity and to not participate in the individual tournament tomorrow. When she returns to the inn, Chihaya reflects on the teamâs journey through the tournament to become champions as she rests next to a sleeping Taichi.
[]The next morning, Chihaya reveals the extent of her injury to the rest of her teammates, who express concern for her condition. Chihaya resolves to participate in the individual tournament when Nishidaâs sister presents the team with âmodifiedâ congratulatory t-shirts and she recalls a goal for Mizusawa to not only win the team tournament, but also win the individual championships in each class.
[]While Chihaya and Nishida wait to find out who they are matched up against in the hallway, Chihaya sees Shinobu pass by and says that she plans to use her left hand to play her matches. Chihayaâs first round opponent is Keiko (Megumuâs ârivalâ from Akashi), who beat Nishida in the team tournament match.
[]Shinobu takes a particular interest in finding out who Arata is matched up with in the first round (Shoji from Fukui West) and she comments on the situation when Arata makes an appearance. Afterwards, as Arata and Chihaya go take their respective places for their matches, Chihaya realizes that she has been âreunitedâ with Arata after having not seen each other for so long.
[]Elsewhere for the Class B matches, Taichi wonders about his purpose as Retro proclaims that this is the time for him to shine.
[]As the Class A matches get underway, Keiko is off to strong start in taking the first two cards. Chihaya is a bit worried about her own performance; she can âhearâ the cards being read, but her left hand doesnât seem to âactâ the way she would like it to.

Yo, that sake manju sounds good.
Hokuo did indeed take 3rd, with Akashi taking 4th. Kinda interesting to have a boys vs. girls match between schools take place in the team tournament.
Taichi and Arata glancing toward Megumuâs direction was an interesting moment.
Sumire with the âlove triangleâ comment. Damn, girl. Sumire trying to get Arataâs attention as well. You must defeat Shinobu to stand a chance. Probably Chihaya as well, lol.
Arata letting you know âwhatâs upâ Taichi. âLove Triangleâ stuffs be damned.
Sudo⌠Yet again with that âauraâ.
Shinobu with that entrance and with that IDGAF face/look later on.
lol @ Chihaya knowing the reason on how/why Shinobu âslimmedâ down.
I feel bad for Shoji, who has to play against Arata. Thatâs like worst-case-scenario EVO regional seeding.
I somewhat expect for Chihaya to level up her left-hand proficiency stuffs for karuta over the course of the individual tournament.
Damn⌠Chihaya wants it all when it comes to karuta. Besides wanting to become the Queen, she wanted Mizusawa to become the best team in Japan, which they just accomplished. Now she wants Mizusawa to win all the individual tournaments for each class?! So greedy, lol.
Where is Harada exactly. The individual tournament is going down and heâs missing it?.
No mention of Suo, much less an appearance by the Master.
