Oh man, damn space bros 40. These past 2 episodes have nearly given me a heart attack.
I watched some trailers for Redline. Holy SHIT. Buying the blu-ray ASAP.
Serious episodes indeed.

So it seems after the crater crash, Hibito is alright for the most part. He finds the unmanned Gibson craft and eventually Damian, who got his leg broken. After recalling what Brian Jay mentioned and another flashback featuring Damianās family; Hibito decides to find a way to get the Gibson running and save himself and Damian. Unfortunately another setback happens as Hibito tumbles down, destroys his oxygen tank and according to the title of next weekās episode, heās got 80 minutes to live. I wonder if heās going to prioritize his survival over Damianās now or try to save him and his self.
*I highly suggest it. Redline was the title that got me back into anime last year after 2 and a half year hiatus. I had grown sour on the way the medium was headed and basically stopped watching anime cold turkey. When I heard that Redline finally got a US release I decided to check it out. Iām glad it did since it reminded me of what anime could be. *
I tried reading Aratai Kantagai (thatās not right) like 5 different times, couldnāt do it, the start is the most boring shit ever, and I read shit like 20th Century Boys.
Maoyuu episode 2 got rid of the excessive breast jiggling that was present in episode 1 so that should make people happy. It also gives people no excuse to not check out the show unless they donāt find the concept interesting.
The animation quality went down a bit in episode 2 but the storyline and character development is steadying the course, which is the more important thing. Very solid developments both in the characters and the storyline.
Maoyuu Episode 2
[details=Spoiler]That was exactly what I wanted to see when a show introduces new characters. A really strong show case of the new characters that give an indication of their personality, future developments, and something that makes them worth while to the viewers.
Both the head maid and the serfs had strong convictions. The elder sister accepting the belittling words of the head maid, as a means to grab hold of her fate and take some responsibility for her actions and the well being of her younger sister, was a really well done scene. It showed the type of character that the head maid is and showed the development that the serfs will under take in the series.
The hero rethinking his life and his role in an era of peace was really good as well. I really like how this show takes the fantasy genre character archetypes as a base and then applies questions that most people donāt think about. Iām not saying this is anything new and weāve seen similar developments in other similar characters like Berserkās Gatts; however, thereās something interesting in the way this show executes it due to the context and setting, at least imo.[/details]
PP 12
[details=Spoiler]Agreed, the timing of this episode was awkward and came out of nowhere. I think most people wanted this episode to focus more on the after math of the previous episode. It just makes the eventual transition into the next storyline weird. This type of pacing is nothing new but I get a really GitS: SAC vibe from it.
26 episodes should be more than enough time to include these character development episodes but I hope they are handled in a better way and tie into the main storyline in some way. I didnāt mind this episode too much since it gave a better look at Kogami and his late partners personality, as well as Yayoiās character. Personally, I hope this isnāt just a one off story and that it was used to set up the next story arc. Itās possible that the resistance are going to be the next story focus with another showdown between Yayoi and that singer. They could kill Yayoi off there as well but I wouldnāt really want that because a one off episode to develop the character is not enough to make us care for them so the death would be too predictable and have no impact. I would assume Urobuchi would know better than to do something like that.[/details]
Magi episode 14 was really well done.
Magi 14
[details=Spoiler]This was a really good episode for developing Alibabaās character and we get a good look at the strength of his convictions. The scene where he convinces the people of his city to get on board with his ideals was well done but Iām not entirely sure if the voice actor managed to pull off the speech. Thatās usually a tough part for an actor, to be able to deliver a speech of such a scale that gives off the qualities of a leader.
In any case, Alibaba demonstrates that he has the charisma of a leader that can aspire the people of his city, which was really important if they are to learn to live without a King. It was enough to show Sinbad that Alibaba has that certain 1 in a million quality to him.
How Alibaba deals with Kashim should be interesting, as weāll get to see the contrast of his character when he first dealt with Kashim to now.[/details]
Zetsuen no Tempest 13 was garbage with half the episode being a recap and the other half doing minimal to advance the plot and characters.
Checking out some of the new season stuff.
Amnesia - Itās basically just a dating sim with a female lead. Female lead lost her memories and is working with some spirit to get them back. She also works at a maid cafe with a bunch of Bishiās so predictable romantic hijinks with various male characters, as she regains her memory. The artwork is really nice but nothing particularly original.
Tamako Market - This is the new KyoAni show and itās apparently getting negative reviews from the KyoAni fan base in Japan because itās not their typical moeblob shit. Apparently, the talking bird character is getting a lot of hate. After watching the first episode itās still has moe blobs but itās a comedy rather than a slice of life show. Itās actually not too bad but itās not spectacular by any means.
Kotoura-san - This show realllllyyy threw me off at the beginning. Youāre greeted with a very depressing 10 minute introduction of the main character and then a complete shift into a pseudo comedy. I give it props for that sudden shift in tone and it definitely caught my interesting. Iām not really sure how well the series will end up but itās worth giving it a few more episodes.
Yeah second episode of Maoyuu was vastly superior to the cliche first ep. I might have my girl check it out. Psycho-Pass 12 was unnecessary. Not even worth watching, especially with the conclusion drawn at the end. Lol at these moeblob faggots not liking their daily dose of KyoAni vomit. I hope they continue to choke on their hate.

As the Kou princess seems to sense that something is happening in the palace, light and dark rukh (which are now visible) begin to gather near Judal. Having finished off the rest of the monkey troupe on the palace grounds, Morgiana wonders if Alibaba has accomplished what he had set out to do.
Inside the throne room, Ahbmad chastises Sahbmadās coup dāetat attempt and even belittles him if he were the one to step up to be the next person in line for the throne, especially after Sahbmad airs his concerns regarding Ahbmadās behavior and of the slave deal for the citizens of Balbadd. Though Ahbmad calls Sahbmad a coward, Alibaba comes to his defense and praises him for his recent courageous actions as of late. Ahbmad is tired of hearing about what is said and tries to kill Alibaba, but Alibaba easily defends himself with a blade grasp disarm, followed up with a slap to the king, then Alibaba tells Ahbmad that he is no longer fit to be king and that he should resign. Ahbmad protests for someone to kill Alibaba, but the soldiers pay him no attention. It is then that the Kou princess enters the throne room and inquires to what is going on. Beyond the palace grounds, the trio that currently have Sinbadās metal vessels notice the rukh in the air, as does Jafar, Masrur, and company who now are able to see the rukh as well as they gather near Aladdin.
The Kou princess officially introduces as Kougyoku Ren and asks who is the king of Balbadd. Ahbmad speaks up and Kougyoku is taken aback by the statement. However, the Banker interrupts and informs the princess about the coup dāetat that has taken place, which makes her realize that she doesnāt have to marry Ahbmad, but she realizes that she still has business to attend to regardless of who the king is. Though Sahbmad is next in line, he says that he isnāt qualified to be king, as he stood by and watched Balbadd deteriorate and only acted late. Everyone then looks to Alibaba, thinking that he will the next to succeed the throne, but he surprises everyone saying that he is also unfit to rule, feeling responsible for how things have resulted. However, it is Alibabaās next statement that truly surprises everyone - Alibaba announces that he wants to dissolve the monarchy and have Balbadd become a peopleās republic. Alibaba asks Kougyoku to overturn the prior agreement that was to be the original treaty between the countries of Balbadd and Kou, but it is beyond her hands and she realizes that she wonāt have to go through with the political marriage and treaty signing if Balbadd were to become a republic.
Sinbad makes an appearance with some diplomatic members (representatives) of the Seven Seas Alliance to back Alibaba as the recommended/proposed new king of Balbadd, thinking it was a possible course of action. Kougyoku reminds Alibaba that Balbadd had forfeited itās rights as collateral to the Kou Empire, but Alibaba asks the princess to overlook it as if it never happened, saying that the newly (re)created republic of Balbadd doesnāt need to inherit the past arrangements. Alibaba decides argue the point of the new future of Balbadd after noticing that Kougyoku doesnāt seem too willing to push the issue further. There is some back-and-forth between Alibaba and Kougyoku; with Alibaba proposing that the Kou Emperor annul the treaty arrangements on their end, to which Kougyouku says that Kou might respond with military force and Alibaba says that the profit earned from Balbaddās maritime trade would be something that would benefit the Kou Empire in the long run should they avoid warring, but Kougyoku tries to pay no heed to Alibabaās counters. Sinbad says that Balbadd is to become part of the Seven Seas Alliance to guarantee itās protection and Alibaba even highlights the relations between both countries goes back to the late kingās generation. Kougyoku then states that the matter is best left to the Kou Emperor and makes one condition/request before withdrawing - Sinbad is to make an appearance in the Kou Empire to prove his words. Sinbad agrees to her terms, which then prompts Kougyoku to leave and as she does, she reflects on being grateful in not having to marry Ahbmad. As she departs for her homeland, Kougyoku is smitten with thoughts of when Sinbad will come to visit the Kou Empire, though for some reason Judal is now left in the care of the Banker.
As Alibaba shares his thoughts/ideas on how the new Republic of Balbadd should come about, the Banker shares his thoughts, saying that the people should be ruled, but Alibaba says that the people should instead come together to figure things out. Alibaba then goes outside to address the citizens on the results of his meeting with Ahbmad: the abdication of the throne and the proposal for Balbadd to become republic. Though the people are skeptical about there not being a king, Alibabaās speech for the people to be involved in matters of choice and livelihood for Balbadd and their futures seems to have had a positive effect as the populace support his ideals.
The Banker and another mysterious man (the weapon supplier) seem to have some part left to play as black rukh appear and begin to swirl around Kassim and his group as they make their way to the palace. Aladdinās condition is unknown as well as the light rukh that had gathered around him has left for some reason.

Makoto wants to stop the ācharadeā that is Mako-chan. However, he decides to continue with the role of Mako-chan when Chiaki (and to an extent Haruka) compliment him on his āmanlyā endeavors as the female persona. Kana makes a joke about Toumaās true gender identity on April Foolsā Day and Fujioka runs with the gag, which ends up embarrassing Touma, though Fujioka still doesnāt know the truth about Touma. Later, Touma wonders about how to be more girly and the Yoshino/Uchida duo make a joke about Chiaki only being girly when she is holding the Fujioka bear. Touma is also praised for her handicraft work when she shows off a blue Fujioka-inspired bear to the Minami sisters and Chiaki finds herself so taken with the bear that she overlooks her own Fujioka bear for a spell.
Kyoani-chan can vomit in my mouth any and ever day. I will smile as her lsd laced, rainbow flavored puke seeps into my brain through my eyeballs as streams of projectile happiness.

but really the episode was an excuse to show off how white Chitanda is. She is likeā¦albino polar bear snorting lines in a snowstorm white.
I havenāt watched anything in months.
Really I just want to catch up on Hidamari and Jojoās, otherwise nothing else even registers.
Working on that youtube show actually.
So, the manga Baby Steps (still ongoing) is one of the realest sports manga Iāve read thatās actually enjoyable besides Slam Dunk and Hajime no Ippo (Which is finally fucking advancing the fucking plot after 100 unnecessary chapters of Miyata Lite. Oh God that last fight was bullshit (Not as much as Woli, though it was up there). Thank God he moved on to Vorg, someone with actual talent).
Heās not even the stereotypical genius character. Heās what you would call the hard-working āI need to study to get ALL Aās and a perfect 4.0 GPAā type of character. You know, the equivalent of an overachiever.
What the fuck is up with the Big 3 though? I havenāt seen any new chapters in the last 2 weeks.
So watched Sasami@Ganbaranaiā¦ and Iām not even sure what the fuck I watched. It was so strange that it wasā¦ strangely entertaining, I guess. Iām not really sure what to make of the show or what the fuck even happened in it. All I know is that Sasami looks like a Touhou character in her pajamas, sheās a hikikomori, her brother is a siscon and is a running gag of not being able to see his face, the world turned to chocolate, and there were boob missiles to be had.
It was like I was tripping on drugs. And I kinda liked it.
Thatās probably the best description possible.
You should watch Magi.
I actually havenāt watched anime in a long time until my friend recently constantly bugged me to watch some. So hereās my current list ATM of what I recently finished and some I just started and was wondering if there are any more to add to my list and my options of the anime by it:
Kurokoās Basketball - Recently finished and I must say it wasnāt as bad as I expected it to be
Corpse Party OVA - Fantastic game, OVA was decent, canāt wait for an anime release/ENG book of shadows release :] (tomorrow :D)
ShinSekai Yori - I love the protagonist and the plot. Some weird parts but still got me hooked onto it
Maoyu - Great and something different than what I usually watch
Chihayafuru 2 - Loved S1 but the first epi of S2 wasnāt really a hook on for me ATM but still looking forward to the next episodes
Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai Next - New season started out decent and canāt wait for the rest of the episodes either :>
ā¦I take a break from anime and THIS happensā¦
Am I the only one disappointed with alibaba?
I hate to say the cliche butā¦the manga is better. IMO.
Yeah Baby Steps is good stuff. Guy works hard and plays hard, with a tint of talent thrown in. Really enjoyable.
Baby Steps has been updating a chapter a day recently, a new one came out, 154.
Lol no argument there Iām also manga > show but i just happened to stumble upon the show while looking at the current popular selection of last season. Plus was to lazy to read it at the time >.>
why?
