Finished Katanagatari and I think Iāve just found another show to be adding into my all time list of favourites. I really liked the afterthought messages left in the epilogue regarding failure as something that can indeed be celebrated despite the negative connotations typically associated with it. Pretty much every major and sub-major character in this show fails in one way or another and itās precisely because of that which gives rise to each characters own individual personality and charm. I had a gut feeling that a āhappily ever afterā ending probably wasnāt going to happen and as much as I liked the characters in this show, I think the way it actually played out in the end was for the best in terms of storytelling and leaving a lasting impact. Itās not very often that a new favourite comes by that I can add to the list, but Iād definitely have no problems in doing exactly that with Katangatari. Good shit Katanagatari, Cheerio!
Goddamn, I donāt remember Oreimo being thisā¦I dunnoā¦pandering, last season. Itās getting kind of ridiculous and itās only 5 episodes in. They just need to bang already and get it over with, christ. This is why I hate high school level romance in anime, itās all the same garbage, between a boy and girl or a freaking brother and sister, GROW UP ALREADY.
The end was good though, they need to just stick with the group doing otaku crap instea dof focusing on the obvious busted relationship of the brother and sister.
Outside of genshiken, there are no shows that really have otakus being the main focus. The brother sister thing was uneeded and will never impact the story in any significant way, so they should have just dropped it, but i guess japan must love to fuck their siblings.
I knew this would be a anyone can die series but I didnāt expect for a main character to be killed off so soon. Eren just canāt catch a break. This dude is in seriously need of a Deus Ex Machina
Yeah, I mean I know what the show is called, so I knew what it could end up being, but the concept and first season were genuinely interesting and I donāt remember them focusing so much on the brother/sister aspect and more on the group as a whole, those 2, the cat girl, glasses chick, ect. But theyāve barely shown up at all and itās been focusing more on the brother/sister āwincestā angle and itās just really boring and cliche. It is just 5 episodes in so Iām sure there will be some decent eps, but itās a pretty weak start to the season.
They already took off the Erenās arm and leg⦠AND came close to dying once but magically regained physical strength through will power. Itās too early to die. The plot armour is so obvious at this point, but itās delivered through a driven spirit of an individual. Erenās not dead. His will power alone will make him an invincible character.
Havnāt seen the episode yet, nor Game of Thrones, but Iām just gonna go on a whim and say that people were either fucking or dieing this episode lol.
Without plot armor or Deus ex machina the only way I can see Eren surviving is to cut his way out. The titan that swallowed him didnāt chew. He still has a chance.[/details]
[details=Spoiler]Heās going to cut his way out either way.
All I get when I see Erenās furious eyes is Kratos going after the Titans (God of War). If that were the case, itās pretty damn clear, heās going to cut the eotema open with a lot of gore for your eyes to see.
I just hope it wonāt be too overdone like Kirito. Who knows, maybe they will. It did create a lot of fans for SAO and this showās got a plethora of fans too.[/details]
sparrows hotel is pretty funny. It has that old school 90ās animation going for it. I love these 3 minute comedies. Though Iād love for this one to be 15 min, since itās pretty entertaining.
