Zetsuen no Tempest - 13

Zetsuen no Tempest - 13

Spoiler

A large part of the episode is a series of dreams/flashbacks that recap the events over the previous 12 episodes.

In one instance, Mahiro awakens from a dream/nightmare and finds himself talking to Aika, where the two of them discuss the work that is The Tempest and the subject of tragedy. This is amidst the recap that Mahiro tells of his journey of revenge, though Yoshino reminds him that the his journey is one to save the world.

In another instance, Mahiro awakens and finds himself talking to Yoshino, where he tells him about a scenario after the Tree of Genesis emerged: 2 billion people lost their lives. The tree ā€˜governsā€™ the remaining populace/survivors by eradicating anything with the intent regarding war. Environmental phenomena has taken place (forest replacing deserts) and the food shortage subject is solved.

Mahiro finally awakens (in present time) and Samon is the one who tells him a bit of the worldā€™s current situation regarding the emergence of the Tree of Genesis. It appears that Mahiro was asleep for about a month due to his injuries. When Mahiro asks about Yoshino, Samon says that he is doing alright, though he is elsewhere. However, Samon is the one who surprises Mahiro with a question: He asks if Mahiro can kill Yoshino?

There is also a brief reveal of someone who is likely to be the Mage of Exodus.

Spoiler

A new semester of school has started and Kai is wondering why Misa told him to forget about anything regarding Kou Kimijima. Later, Kai works on activating the set of flags required to unlock the fourth Kimijima report and has managed to complete three of them. When the Robotics Club visits the site where they, more like Aki, wants to build GunPro-2, Jun receives a phone call that informs her that her grandpa (Doc) is in the hospital. However, when Jun goes to see him, she is turned away by Doc himself.

The next day at school, Aki and Kai learn from their teacher that Docā€™s health is somewhat waning and that he wants to close up the robot clinic. Kai later meets with Jun who tells him that she plans on quitting the Robotics Club. When they go into Mizukaā€™s store, the shopkeeper tells them about Doc in the past - he was a mechanic that built some robots for his shop and proclaimed that robots were the friends of humans. As Mizuka begins to mention something about an accident, Jun leaves. Afterwards, Mizuka continues with the story, talking about the accident where a robot had fallen onto a girl and injured her years ago - that girl being Jun, Docā€™s granddaughter, who is reflecting on the traumatic memory elsewhere.

When Aki learns about the story from Kai, she decides to help out in her own way, by offering to fix up Docā€™s robots to help bring up Docā€™s spirits and to get Jun to overcome her fear of them. Aki and Kai find out that the wires inside the robots have been cut and they both start to fix them up taking one a piece. Kai begins to fix up a robot named ā€˜Gojiroā€™ (which happens to be a flag event for the next Kimijima Report). Upon finishing the repairs, Kai finds a picture on the ground as he is about to turn it on. Outside, Aki finishes up the repairs on a blue robot and activates it, with the robot speaking a broken greeting. Jun, who is nearby, begins to tremble and Kai urges Aki to shut off the robot but Jun has fled, remembering that it was the blue robot (Yoshiro) had fallen on her years ago. At school, Jun has formally submitted her resignation to Aki who wonders what she should do. Kai visits Jun at her karate dojo where the girl is in positive spirits. He then gives Jun a photo of when she was younger, posing with Doc and Yoshiro. Some positive memories are stirred within Jun and when she asks a teacher about wanting to see some footage of the failed GunPro-1 launch, Jun sees that the children seem to enjoy the sight of robots.

Kai and Aki visit Doc at the hospital and though he protests, they manage to get/bring Doc to the robot clinic to see his restored robots. As they near the shop, a crowd of people, including children, have gathered there to see the robots. However, Doc seems to have a bit of a negative reaction where he breaks down upon remembering the sad memories of the accident in the past, dampening the spirits of the crowd. Yoshiro then makes itā€™s way forward, speaking itā€™s greeting phrase, with an added addition of ā€˜grandpaā€™. Jun is the one who is operating Yoshiro and she comes forward in front of Doc, where the estranged family members have a heartfelt moment of apologies and forgiveness in regard to past events. Back at the hospital, though Doc is still recovering, he is in better spirits because of the efforts of the Robotics Club and he wants to see their progress on GunPro-2 when he leaves the hospital.

Hope it shows us how her and the blonde lady became lesbian buddies.

[spoiler=psycho pass 12]]New psycho pass opening is p good. Also, maybe the next couple of eps will go into the back stories of all the enforcers, though honestly, they didnā€™t say much about the chick. They didnā€™t even say how her number got so highā€¦unless I missed it.

Magical Girl Akane: Lyrical Strike Witches was pretty great. That is how you do a mahou shoujo. Could have used more gratuitous ass shotsā€¦butā€¦there are always bathhouse episodes. I canā€™t wait to see the mid air docking next episode. Aoi Futaba (not the girl from Asobi ni Iku yo) even looks like Chikaā€™s friend from like, the first episode.

Tomadachi Ga Sukinai Next: Pretty good. Yozora isnā€™t nearly as cute with short hair. Its all about the juggs and little sisters though.

Spoiler

Iā€™m pretty sure it was because of her listening to the other girlā€™s music

Iā€™d be willing to watch Hanegai if the best character didnā€™t cut her fucking hair. Now I have no reason to watch it.

Aw yeah. New Shingeki No Kyojin chapter is out.

[spoiler=Whatever Doritios ^ said]
ā€¦ it probably was because she started accepting the music of an unauthorized Sibyl group and how she wanted to be like that green-haired chick. That special nail polish that she still uses is her only connection to her all this time, and I wouldnā€™t be surprised if her love for her kind of music is what drove up her coefficient level.

As much as I like Abnormalize (OP1) more than this current one, Iā€™m open to hear a new one, and maybe add another song to my music library. The visuals seems rather lame in comparison, but I donā€™t really care enough. [/details]

Maoyu Episode 2

[details=Spoiler] Again with the great OP. We first see what appear to be a couple of slaves running away (They are the ones shown from the 1st episode). Hero and Demon Queen leave the Demon World and Teleport to an undeveloped village. Demon Queen has many plans there, but as a priority she wants to change the agriculture cycle from a 3 cycle to a 4 cycle so it can produce better crop yield and feed the livestock during winter months. Hero Learns Demon Queen has one of her subordinates at the village already with the Preparations. The Head Maid already sets up there housing and lets the village nobles know that Demon Queen is a decedent of nobility from some ā€œHolyā€ country that is on a crusade as a scholar. Hero and Demon Queen later go to see if there 4 cycle agriculture system will work out, but unfortunately the nobles/elders paid them no heed. Demon Queen realizes that Education is whats required to gather enough influence for the nobles/elders to lend an ear to her.

Later that night while Hero and Demon Queen were about to kiss the horses from the stables make a noise. Hero and Demon Queen go to the stables and find two slave children hiding in the haystack. Head Maid also arrives and notes more runaway slaves this time. Head Maid insults the slave kids for being insects for not controlling their own fate and sees no reason to hide the ā€œSerfsā€ while it can hurt there village reputationā€¦ Demon Queen tells Head Maid to let them bath and into some warm clothes for the night since she has no desires to contact the Serf Lord at the night. Head Maid agrees and takes to two children to the house. Later, the Older Sister of the children begs Demon Queen to not turn them in the morning and let them run away. Head Maid scoffs at them again telling them its foolish and will only lead to them to future begging like what they just did now and regards them as ā€œinsectsā€. Older Sister realizes this and kneels down with her younger sister and pleads ā€œPlease make us Humanā€. Head Maid agrees but instead makes the older sister to a Lady like bow with her dress.

Later, Human is out hunting when Younger Sister gives Hero some bread (Her and Older Sister are now maids at the household under Head Maid) while Hero thinks after the War is over what he should do? Besides Swordsmanship he has no useful trade. We see Demon Queen executing her plan with Education as a Teacher teaching the Former slave children and three other youngsters: Young Noble,Young Warrior, and Young Merchant. They range from agriculture to war history and the current state of war involving logic and understanding instead of glorifying the war and emphasizes the importance of Food. After Classes she meets up with Hero and notes that it will take a year until they see results for their 4 cycle agriculture system since they were approved of experimenting it since they were teaching a young noble. Demon Queen feels its time to try out her secret weaponā€¦

ED theme looks great too which has the original LN feel. Next Episode shows briefly the encounter with Female Knight. All in all this episode felt MUCH better then the pilot. No more Boob Camera Pans and the pacing got better, while more key characters are steadily being introduced. This episode also brought up some key issues like the status Quo of the Serfs, the Agriculture Systems, and the importance of Education. Looking foreward to the later episodes since this is one of those linear series that gets better as the plot keeps going. Very Spice Wolf for the characters and like the background drops looking like paintings which gives it the LN feel of some Story.looking forward to episode 3 [spoiler/]

Psycho-Pass 12

[details=Spoiler]Iā€™m kind of disappointed that after the crazy events of episodes 10 and 11 of Psycho-Pass that the story doesnā€™t pick up immediately where it left off. I thought it was quite all right that we didnā€™t really know anything about the other enforcers other than [S]Spike[/S] Kougami. I feel like it isnā€™t needed to get to know them and the episoder felt more like filler than anything else. Maybe itā€™s an attempt to make us care about the other enforcers so we get sad when they inevitably die (lol Urobuchi).

I really hope that the next several episodes arenā€™t just flashback episodes to briefly explain some history of each enforcer; too many episodes wasted, IMO.

Also, does anyone find it strange that everyone was sporting the same hair cut despite it being three years earlier? Itā€™s especially strange for Yayoi and whatsherface blonde woman, since girls constantly change their hair style.[/details]

Sasami San:
Iā€™ve said it before and Iā€™ll say it again. Iā€™ve always wanted a cute girl with a developmental disorder. Iā€™d clean up her poops any day.

See, this is how you do a weird, artsy anime. No long ass dialogues. No incomprehensible wordplay. No art school reject vomit. No obscure, 70ā€™s Japanese pop culture references. Just cute girls and psychedelia.
Heart Tsurugi Sensei.

Golden age of anime.

CHIHAYAFURU SEASON 2 EP1 HAS BEEN SUBBED, LEEEEEEEETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Gotta get my dose of that Boku Wa.

#Team Sena

You may as well just say #TeamOppai. The best team.

I got around to watching Maoyu episode 1. I see a great show here but the protag being afraid of boobs is a huge turn off. I donā€™t care if it is for comedy, I canā€™t stand that shit. He should be diving head first into those boobs.

As Psycho Pass 12, itā€™s nice theyā€™re getting into the backstories of the other enforcers. Sheā€™s been a living prop until this episode

Iā€¦Iā€™m sorry, did you just shit on Serial Experiments Lain?

Did you just shit on Paprika?

There is only so far that your invincibility goes, Kromo, keep your ass behind that line.

Also, if everyone keeps getting mad at the Mayouu anime, just read one of the seven mangas.

Just finished Kami-sama no Iutoori. Holy fuck, that was awesome. Part 2 is just around the corner as well. Iā€™m pretty hype.

All will be forgiven.

Finished Tantei Opera Milky Holmes. Excellent. Simply excellent. Now to try to find the second season.

Talking smack about SEL is bringing down the Sword of Damocles, young Kromo.

Less you want your wings clipped, I suggest new god Kromo stays out of matters he not yet understands.

Apology accepted.

looks like Iā€™m late to the party. :frowning:
