It appears that Mahiro was asleep for about a month due to his injuries. When Mahiro asks about Yoshino, Samon says that he is doing alright, though he is elsewhere. However, Samon is the one who surprises Mahiro with a question: He asks if Mahiro can kill Yoshino?
There is also a brief reveal of someone who is likely to be the Mage of Exodus.

Spoiler
A new semester of school has started and Kai is wondering why Misa told him to forget about anything regarding Kou Kimijima. Later, Kai works on activating the set of flags required to unlock the fourth Kimijima report and has managed to complete three of them. When the Robotics Club visits the site where they, more like Aki, wants to build GunPro-2, Jun receives a phone call that informs her that her grandpa (Doc) is in the hospital. However, when Jun goes to see him, she is turned away by Doc himself.
The next day at school, Aki and Kai learn from their teacher that Docās health is somewhat waning and that he wants to close up the robot clinic. Kai later meets with Jun who tells him that she plans on quitting the Robotics Club. When they go into Mizukaās store, the shopkeeper tells them about Doc in the past - he was a mechanic that built some robots for his shop and proclaimed that robots were the friends of humans. As Mizuka begins to mention something about an accident, Jun leaves. Afterwards, Mizuka continues with the story, talking about the accident where a robot had fallen onto a girl and injured her years ago - that girl being Jun, Docās granddaughter, who is reflecting on the traumatic memory elsewhere.
When Aki learns about the story from Kai, she decides to help out in her own way, by offering to fix up Docās robots to help bring up Docās spirits and to get Jun to overcome her fear of them. Aki and Kai find out that the wires inside the robots have been cut and they both start to fix them up taking one a piece. Kai begins to fix up a robot named āGojiroā (which happens to be a flag event for the next Kimijima Report). Upon finishing the repairs, Kai finds a picture on the ground as he is about to turn it on. Outside, Aki finishes up the repairs on a blue robot and activates it, with the robot speaking a broken greeting. Jun, who is nearby, begins to tremble and Kai urges Aki to shut off the robot but Jun has fled, remembering that it was the blue robot (Yoshiro) had fallen on her years ago. At school, Jun has formally submitted her resignation to Aki who wonders what she should do. Kai visits Jun at her karate dojo where the girl is in positive spirits. He then gives Jun a photo of when she was younger, posing with Doc and Yoshiro. Some positive memories are stirred within Jun and when she asks a teacher about wanting to see some footage of the failed GunPro-1 launch, Jun sees that the children seem to enjoy the sight of robots.
Kai and Aki visit Doc at the hospital and though he protests, they manage to get/bring Doc to the robot clinic to see his restored robots. As they near the shop, a crowd of people, including children, have gathered there to see the robots. However, Doc seems to have a bit of a negative reaction where he breaks down upon remembering the sad memories of the accident in the past, dampening the spirits of the crowd. Yoshiro then makes itās way forward, speaking itās greeting phrase, with an added addition of āgrandpaā. Jun is the one who is operating Yoshiro and she comes forward in front of Doc, where the estranged family members have a heartfelt moment of apologies and forgiveness in regard to past events. Back at the hospital, though Doc is still recovering, he is in better spirits because of the efforts of the Robotics Club and he wants to see their progress on GunPro-2 when he leaves the hospital.
