ano hana

Spoiler

I too wish anaru and jin-tan would get together, but we all know that shit isnt happening, its all about memna…

and holy fuck Tiger and bunny is fucking godlike!!!

Ohana loves the peanut-y smell of her grandma.
Thats why she doesn’t really care that her mom ditched her to get laid in Europe or whatever.

Noticed Phenomona: 1 Japanese person
An anime often will only have 1 person who looks Japanese (IE: Long black hair).Usually they are pretty Japanese in demeanor too.(Quiet, modest, bound by tradition and a deep sense of shame) Often shrine maidens. .Applies only to females. All Japanese men are weak willed with short dark hair.

Also I’ve noticed that pretty much all “foreigner” characters can be broken into two subtypes

  1. The goofy plot device
    and
  2. The Japanese person with blond hair. (IE, perfectly fluent in Japanese, totally in tune with Japanese culture and manners, sits in seiza, loves Japanese food… hair may be pink or green or whatever)

Edit: Asobi Ni Iku Yo OVA was excellent. Everybody got naked.

Man Ano Hana 11 was really good. I don’t really understand how some people in this thread can just be completely closed off from emotions

Steins;Gate 12.

So I just picked up reading Soul Eater after HnK, and all I have to say is that it’s wacky, in a good way. At least it’s better than Naruto, despite having the same premise of children going to school and learning how to kill. I only read the first 2 volumes, but I’m assuming it gets even better further in?

Nope. I’d save yourself some time and drop it.

It gets better, then it gets a lot worse, then it stays okay for a while, and then it really just depends on personal taste. It’s worth reading, but if you start getting bored (esp. around the Asura arc) you can just drop it and not feel so bad.

Last ep of Ano Hana was great. overall not as good as I hoped, but still really good.

The end of C was really weird.

Soul eater is not baller.

Gets really confusing and weird, and starts to be more about style than about anything actually happening.

Loved the ending to Ano Hana. For me, it was better than expected. I didn’t think they could wrap everything up so well.

Fuck Ano Hana seems like my kind of thing, why must I be stuck here in Job Corp with no way to watch :frowning:

no denpa onna this week :[
also, I started watching e7. Maybe it’s because I’m used to 12-24 ep series now, but the pacing has been so drab. So far there isn’t really much of a narrative push or a heavy reason for me to get passionate about plot-wise, when does it actually pick up?
I’m sorry if I like to watch mechas for neverending unrest and larger than life political dramas(like geass and nadesico), but in 8 episodes, so far it has just been petty thug work, little babysitting problems(I’m starting to agree with whoever said the kids can die in a fire), and mediocre ship gimmicks.

I think the other problem is I’ve never seen a good coming of age themed shonen besides hunterxhunter, but I’ll keep watching I guess.

Ano Hana ending was pretty good. After episode 10 and hearing that episode 11 would be the final episode, I thought the ending would be rushed. I’m glad everything pretty much resolved, and the ending was fairly emotional. A good ending for a good series. The ED playing during that final scene was great.

No Denpa Onna this week makes me sad. Not sure what happened there. ANN says it was supposed to air 6/23, so I’m not sure what’s going on. Sucks since we’re close to the end. I also need more Meme.

Also, WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SHIT:

I kinda like it.

Final episode of AnoHana made me laugh my ass off. Everyone crying on command just made me lose it. Especially when they did it in unison. Overall this show felt was like I was watching a 2 hour movie padded out to be 11 episodes long. Sigh

[C]'s ending felt empty. It wasnt that bad of an ending but considering how lame the whole show was before that point, it makes the actual ending drive home the idea that I reaaally wasted my time watching it.

Should be getting a double episode next week, from what’s been mentioned.

It’s Carnival Phantasm; an OVA adapatation of the manga Take Moon. Comedy centric and (obviously from the trailer) features the casts of both F/SN and Tsukihime. Will have 4 episodes, all bundled in the DVD/Bluray set. Same VA cast from their recent animated series/games, too.

Are you kidding? I thought you would know about this, seeing as how you’re more versed in sadlife than I am. It’s that OAV with all the Type-Moon characters called Carnival Phantasm that was announced about a year back IIRC.

Another promo

Christ, I missed a lot of anime and have a lot to catch up with but I HAVE to watch this right when it releases.

E7 is better than HxH, and E7 isn’t really shonen either. Just keep going and be patient. I don’t know your taste of course, but it becomes something amazing once everything really starts moving.

That looks really entertaining. Can’t wait.

I think E7 starts to get going once Ray and Charles are introduced. For me, that arc made E7 and is what I’ll remember most about it.

New Negima: Now things are getting serious. Go Setsuna!

i agree with ken on ano hana 11

as a favor to everyone heres a link to the entire episode

could have done without the excessive emotional BAWWWWWWW, being sad (not the spirit juice kind) is ok but i had a “really…?” look on my face throughout most of the episode due to the sheer amount of BAWWWWWWW going on

at least everyone ended up kinda sorta happy at the end
