On GC: Both the main characters are boring. Shu does nothing but whine all day and Inori is just there to draw in the Rei clone suckers. The only Rei clone I’ve ever seen done well apart from the original would have to be Yuki from Haruhi.
On MN: lol, I wouldn’t know how else you you’d be able to depict Yuno without her falling under the typical Yandere umbrella. There’s not exactly a lot of wiggle room under that umbrella I don’t think.
On Shana III: The only parts that I genuinely enjoy when watching this is right before it ends. That’s when shit actually tends to happen and the transition when the ED music comes on gets me hype as well. Except well… that’s kinda where it ends. By the time the next episode rolls along, things have already gotten anticlimatic and I have to sit through a whole episode of them dicking around for the next good bit at the end of the episode again… =/ Rinse and repeat and I’m pretty much a sucker for this damn show now…
Also some of these Shana character designs; Out of all the things there is to choose from, they think a lion with a trumpet, a fucken camel, and a blue bear battle mode is suppose to be cool to look at? Who the hell comes up with these things? -_-
On GC: Yuki is the defaulted “Quiet-girl moe” character of all time, goddamn. Rei’s just boring to look at and at least Inori has some flare in her appearance.
On MN: I was going to respond to this, but I now just made sense of her change in behaviour; I totally forgot what happened the end of the recent episodes. Disregard post.

The search for the Shogun continues with even more stranger occurrences; from Bigfoots with tacks on their feet, to Otae killing chupcabras for eating purposes. Eventually they meet the Shogun wearing a bear outfit; and they eventually find a cabin. Trying to keep warm, Hijikata suggests they huddle together; where the girls manage to find how rather smelly the Shogun is - and is reduced to being naked. Long story short, they survive the whole ordeal and the Shogun manages to engage in the not so often heard of sport known as strip snowboarding.

So i saw Makoto Shinkai’s latest film, Hoshi wo Ou Kodomo (Children who chase lost voices from deep below).
It was nice to see him pay homage to Miyazaki by doing a Ghibli-esque adventure type film this time around. The scenery porn wasn’t quite as strong as his previous films imo. Must be because the environment this time isn’t as industrial and city like as his previous works so there’s less chance to be as hyper glossy and uber photorealistic as before. That’s probably one of the main drawing points for me when I watch his works, the insane background visuals on everything so I was a little disappointed when it wasn’t as strong as his earlier works. That’s not to say it’s bad by any means, the damn film still looks gorgeous as hell. It just falls a ltitle short of what I’ve come to massively expect after seeing 5cm Per Second, Beyond the Clouds and Voices of a Distant Star. You could probably say that I’ve been rather spoiled by him in this aspect I guess lol

Gundam Unicorn 4: Alright, I know these are the common themes in Gundam, but it is tiring hearing the same theme repeated over and over in every episode. The characters don’t even feel like real people. They’re more like caricatures used to repetitively hammer home the theme of the show.
