-Oh hai, about time I started posting in this thread since I recently got back into actually watching anime than just talking about it.
In regards to big shonen manga (Bleach, Naruto, One Piece) except for maybe OP I only care so much about how the hell Bleach and Naruto were going to end. Seeing that Bleach’s storyline was pretty much concluded I thought it ended…yet it goes on, why? They couldn’t even give the damn show a proper ending! This was probably because of the $$$'s but its all I want from the show. Same with Naruto but seeing how they have so many characters that apparently all need depth and lengthy battles I think thats going to be awhile before there will be a sight of an ending.
Anyways, there was a recommendation to watch Ergo Proxy from Cowboy Bebop and despite it not being similar to Cowboy Bebop in style (Though the maturity, deep storyline and characters is what I favor the most which I enjoy) I am enjoying it so far and am on episode 14 I really like it’s use of mystery to keep me interested, I feel like i’m watching LOST all over again.
Shounens are so boring… Seinens on the other hand…
Hunter is the best shonen series ever made, and the big three in jump should be considered HxH, One Piece, Naruto.

Seinen is my preferred genre (Dat Berserk), but to be fair didn’t we all <3 Shonen at one point? I’m still guilty of watching Pokemon every now and then (Fuck 650+ episodes seirously what were they thinking can’t ash be a goddamn Pokeman master already?!)
I think I need a full list of every ok to great Seinen.
Shonen and seinen are demographics, not genres.

While true, I think they do connote very different styles/types of anime between Shonen and Seinen.
They are genres because you know damn well what they mean. Like calling something young adult.
Berserk, Aiki, list is really long since seinen doesn’t have to follow a format so you get more interesting stories. List of good shonen is short because they are all bad.

ON the tpoic of Shounen, finally read Lucifer and Biscuit Hammer; shit was damn good and one of hte few I’ve actually liked.
I would think that Cowboy Bebop fits a seinen demographic, but yet at the same time is also appealing to younger generations, I guess everybody can like it.

I did but only because I was exposed to that shit exclusively thanks to television and no internet back in pre-2000. I didn’t know seinens and shoujos existed.
I do but at the same time I don’t read x-men because I haven’t seen her in the avengers comics before. I will admit that I don’t read comics all that much like I did in the 90s though…to much to keep up with.
Also yall just hating on the x-men anime I think it was ok, I never said it was that good but it was an interesting watch.
I remember a lot of things about that cartoon even though I haven’t seen it in ages. I remember war machine having a cameo in the show during a friends of humanity speech and also saving a boy during the phoenix saga. I also remember a guy not having any special powers, all he does is look different…poor guy :(.
