Veritas or The Breaker were the best manwha you’ve read.
Breaker is pretty good, but whether it becomes one of the best depends on how the sequel or whatever ends.
Ares is the best finished one I’ve read I think.
Yeah, I’d say the only really weak arc is Enishi’s; everyone else seemed decent for the most part.
Overall though, I thought it concluded pretty well.
I wouldn’t reccomend it. The 1st season was average at best, but the 2nd? Prepare to get frustrated. Big time.
Gintama 227/Gintama x Sket Side A

So this was pretty much the same as it was in the manga; essentially they’re throwing in both sets of main characters as a crossover; while Bossun and Gintoki compete at who’s being a better main character and ripping off One Piece and Toriko’s crossover by having a devil fruit which gives one a hammer for a penis. Of course, they made things a bit more funnier by adding all those VA jokes and the totally exagerrated runoff between both show’s main characters; but eventually they find the fruit…and help and old dude who was about to kill himself because his frail hands can’t handle the use of the hammer anymore.
Oh and in the typical Gintama twist, both Bossun and Gintoki did get their hammers anyway.

Anyone savvy with with Media Player Classic Home Cinema? I’m still having issues with getting it to load multiple subtitle tracks instead of just defaulting to the default track and being unable to change it. Getting frustrated. I updated CCCP but that didn’t help at all. I also tried reinstalling MPC HC and resetting the settings on reinstall, which works, but then I run into the issue that it is no longer loading the necessary codecs for FFDShow, FFDAudio, etc. So it’s some setting in MPC or one of the codecs that is responsible for loading multiple subtitle tracks.
I downloaded them, and the only one I can select in MPC is Chihiro. If I switch over to VLC I can switch between gg, yezy and chihiro. Haven’t watched it yet, so I don’t know if they are worse than gg subs which I used for the normal release. No idea of Chihiro is good or not, never used their subs.
We seem to have the same problem, so I’ll see if I find anything about it.

“at the top of the screen click on view then options; in the options section go to playback – output – in the “direct show video” section make sure the one you have clicked off has a “**” after it… those are the ones that allow internal subtitle rendering.
When that is done – reopen the show and right click with your mouse and go to “navigate” there you will find where you can switch your subtitles and audio tracks…”
I’m using madVR, which got the **, and I can select all 3 subtitle tracks in the Navigate menu. Hope it works for you as well.

I should have mentioned that I’m already using renderers that allow internal subtitle rendering. After I made that post I figured out I can right click the DirectVobSub tray icon and change the subtitles that way, but changing subtitles through MPC is impossible. I guess that this point it’s more about convenience. What’s weird is that a long time ago I had no problems with this… but it seems like the newer versions of CCCP and their settings for MPC changed that.
Danime, I recently heard about madVR… but I have no idea how to use it. I recently downloaded it and installed it… but can’t really find good instructions on how to use it. Help? Would be great to see if it would help me run the Madoka 1080p rips without having to worry about slowdown.

This worked for me to watch Hi10 encodes. The only thing I had troubles with was the audio, but that had more to do with my sound system not being set to direct 6 channel for the 5.1. Had sooo much trouble with that, not getting proper sound while trying to watch Redline. So much fiddling around with the settings.
So you can’t select the subtitles now via Navigate > Subtitle Language? I tried to change it at Play > Subtitles at first and Chihiro was the only one available. Oh well, it should work for you if you just follow that madVR guide and then go through Navigate > Subtitle Language like that guy posted.
Edit: Oh, and be sure to use the x86 version of MPC-HC. I’m using x64 windows, so naturally I picked x64 and figured it wouldn’t matter. Turns out though that madVR gets greyed out in the Output - DirectShow Video settings. Took a lot of time before I realized that was the problem
