Anime Fighting Game Tournament El Paso, Tx May 14

Hello everyone. My name is Zak. Since this past January, I have been helping bring small tournaments to the El Paso scene. And I would say that it certainly is growing. Now, I look to continue to make El Paso fighting game scene grow as I am putting together an anime fighting game tournament. This tournament is not like the regular monthly tournaments I’ve been putting together with a friend of mine, but it is more of an additional tournament that is happening in the month of May in addition to our upcoming monthly. The games that we’re featuring are Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-, BlazBlue: Chronophantasma EXTEND, and Tatsunoko Vs Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars.

Now the rundown:

Registration will open up at 2 p.m and will close at 3 p.m. Warnings will be issued throughout the time period.

Tournament starts at 3 p.m.

Location: One More Level Retro Gaming Store
10968 Montwood Dr.

Entry Fee: $5 per game

Venue Fee: $5

Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- rules:
Game version: PlayStation 3

Game Settings: Versus Mode

Timer: 99 seconds

2/3 rounds per game

2/3 games per match

Winner’s, Loser’s, and Grand Finals will be 3/5.

If the players do not agree on a stage within 15 seconds, the match will be random stage select

BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma EXTEND rules:
Game version: Playstation 3

Game Settings: Versus Mode

Timer: 99 seconds

2/3 rounds per game

2/3 Games per match

Winner’s, Loser’s and Grand Finals: 3/5 games per match

If the players do not agree on a stage within 15 seconds, the match will be random stage select.

Tatsunoko Vs Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars rules:
Game Version: Wii

Game Settings: Versus Mode

Timer: 99 seconds

2/3 Games per match

Winner’s, Loser’s, and Grand Finals: 3/5 games per match

Banned Characters: G. Lightan, PTX-40A

If players do not agree on a stage within 15 seconds, the match will be random stage select.

General Rules:
The player who lost the last game played will have the option to change character(s).

However, the player who won the last game played is required to keep the same character(s) and order (TVC).

1 Minute button check for all games

No Modded fightsticks or controller such as turbo etc.

If there’s a malfunction from a stick or controller it will be settled by both players and the TO

Last but not least lets all enjoy a good day of fighting

I am still looking for volunteers who can provide setups for any of the three games on the 14th. If anyone can volunteer to bring a setup, whether it’s a TV, console, or both, please let me know.
