Animated Avatars and the Default Avatar Size

I miss animated avatars and want to see them come back. After doing a bit of searching, and emailing support@vanillaforums.com, I received the following:
Vanilla:

Animated avatars are available on Vanilla by default. The avatar uploaded must be the appropriate size, as resized avatars will lose their animation.

My response to above message:

Thanks very much, for the reply! I have tried what you said, but I am unsure about what the appropriate size will be. Can you please share what pixel dimensions I should use? Unfortunately, I’m just a user of shoryuken.com so I can’t do any code changes on the site.

Vanilla:

The administrator or your forums should be able to tell you what the avatar default size is, they vary from community to community.

So my question is: What is the default avatar size for SRK?

Note: I’ve experimented with 150x150, 200x150, 200x200, and 160x160 but have been unsuccessful at retaining animation.

If an admin would respond, would be super! Thanks for your time.
