We’re exposed to plenty of germs in everyday living. You don’t have to actively seek to let the family animal, that uses those same paws to bury its feces in the litter box, rub all over the baby because it’s “cute”.

Honestly I can’t imagine a bit from a frog to actually hurt that much, they lack teeth. It was probably more surprising than anything.

Edit: I dug up the Reddit post of this and I may be wrong on the teeth thing. I always thought they just had a boney ridge but there may be more to it than that.
