An actual theater release movie from AVGN.
Trailer:

Probably will be something like Tekken CG movie, in the sense that it wont be a huge release. Maybe more wides pread than that.

For the hours of entertainment hr has felt given me I’ll happily go see this.

HOLY FUCKING SHIT.
The trailer surprised me. It actually doesn’t look too bad.
I’d check it out.
I’ll be honest: The trailer didn’t make me laugh a single time. Not a good sign. Even Bad Teacher (for one example) made me chuckle once or twice during the trailer and I actually dug the film. This… I don’t know. Not hating, I’ve been watching AVGN since the Friday the 13th video but this doesn’t look too good.

AVGN isn’t funny. He doesn’t realize that he’s only good when he’s being informative, not when he’s trying to be funny. Anyone can effortlessly replicate his lame attempts at humor but it doesn’t matter because he doesn’t take any real pride in his work, he doesn’t care when people like the Irate Gamer rip off his gimmick because I guess he knows on the inside that it’s all schlock.
I think he’s at his funniest when he perfectly captures that moment we all had growing up when a game drives us to insanity. The Milon’s Secret Castle episode hit the nail on the head for me. Though, I had the same experience with Nightshade.
To be fair, he’s about as funny as simply stringing together random profanities can be. The time where he nerfed his curse word use was when I stopped checking on his work. And a whole movie? I’d rather listen to Yahtzee narrate the history of videogames (hey, that’s not a bad idea).
Both Yahtzee and AVGN are equally irritating.
I wouldn’t say that, but neither have that Ashley Burch charm (my baby momma).
Yeah I really want to listen to Yahtzee and his fedora tell us how he doesn’t bother playing games before reviewing them
At least James is parodying himself consciously
P.S the man wears a fuckin Fedora in 2012
I found his early work great. Top gun, spiderman. These are things i had experienced as a kid. As it went on, i got bored. But the video about the nes championship cartridge is something everyone should watch. That, and the video where he breaks down how he makes videos. Just so you can see his collection (wow) and the effort he takes on amking videos (wow)

James is obviously more interested in adding a full length motion picture with loads of special effects and professional-grade cinematography to his resume than he is in doing video games. I can tell just from looking at this that he’s only grudgingly doing this as an AVGN project.
I don’t find his cursing funny. Usually the reaction to some of the stupid stuff in the game is humorous.
“Everytime Marty dies he falls down and has a spasm attack. I guess if I was seeing attacking birds and flying bowling balls, I’d have a anxiety attack too.”
As he did more of them, he sort of trailed away from the VG content and focused more on making a show, with special effects and additional cast.
Two best friends should make a movie.
what a phukkin god awful trailer.
I have loosely followed his work and thought it passed the time, although I was never a big fan.
His swearing is fucking lame, like a 12 year-old who can’t think of anything truly funny or creative. However, when he is simply being informative about a game is when his videos are genuinely entertaining. Thankfully, he realizes this, since his more recent videos concentrate way more on information, and are much better for it.
The movie looks awful, although it’s still a big step up from the amateur garbage he posts on his Youtube channel.
Black side-kick? Check.
Female side-kick/love interest? Check.
Who is also an attractive female nerd? Check.
Crazy old white guy villain with physical abnormality? Check.
Anyways, I’m not sure why someone would spend hard-earned cash on this considering the wealth of outstanding movies available for free online and on cheap DVDs, or even the (less awful, if still mostly bad) films playing in theaters.

Probably my favorite episode for reasons mentioned here before.
The movie looks fun
Off topic: But I should check out The Cinema Snob movie. I’ve always liked Brad Jones’ reviews of exploitation/horror/porno flicks and he’s a great writer. It’s just that he always uses his friends as actors and the quality isn’t as great as it should be with line delivery. I understand why of course, but I would say that’s the one thing holding him back.
I’d agree if I hadn’t seen his library of games. He really is a Nerd.
