Okay, I know this may be a long shot, but are there any local players in the Muncie/Anderson area, preferably on Ball State campus? I’m not sure if there is a scene here. If there is, let’s get it cracking! Please post!
Hey, I’m a player here at Ball State. Not a very good one, as I haven’t been able to play regularly for about a year now, but I do play. I dunno if there’s anyone else here, but I’d be willing to help set up some casuals if there’s a big enough group.
At the moment, its just me and a buddy that I know of. I know theres more players on Ball State, its just the matter of finding them. What kind of setup do u have? I have an 360 w/ a TE fightstick, and my buddy has a PS3 w/ a TE fightstick.
I have a 360 and an SE stick I got on the cheap awhile back (I’m looking to replace the buttons and stick sometime soon though, it’s taken about a year but it’s started to deteriorate).
There’s got to be some others that play. I actually joined to make pretty much the same thread you made, to try to find some people to play against…so at least there’s some people! I’m not sure how we can get a hold of some others though. 
Might have to get creative.
What games do you guys play? I’ve mostly been playing AE and MK lately, but I have most of the current games; Marvel 3, T6, VF5 about to pick up 3S:OE.
Cool. I play mostly SSF4AE, but I play a little bit of Marvel and SF:3S.
I’ve modded my SE before as well, so of you needed help with that, I could gladly help.
As far as finding new players, we could network, or make some flyers and such for an event.
Sweet. I’ve watched plenty of tutorials on modding and it doesn’t seem that hard, but I’d appreciate the help nonetheless.
I’m willing to do whatever we need to get a group, I’m tired of getting bodied by myself online, lol. Flyers could be put up in like the Atrium and those outside bulletin boards or whatever, and we could probably get a few people by putting something up on Facebook or something.
Nice. I’m in the process of networking right now to round up some people. Im finding a couple people that may have graduated or traveled abroad to japan (which would make for some good competition) but I’m also finding some players on campus.
Btw, are you any good with Photoshop? Lol we could post up some flyers sometime
Awesome. I’ll start looking around myself, see if there’s anyone I know that I can rope in. I may know a guy or two, they’re competitive Starcraft players, but I do know they play fighters and they may jump in if the competition’s there.
I’m OK at Photoshop, by no means great, but I’d probably be able to put something together. Just a generic callout to people who like fighters would work, with a date and a location and a couple of fancy graphics.
Cool, cool. We’re tryna find a place to have these meetings at. It would be best to have a place with a lagless TV. We’re thinking about Bracken Library, or one of the Multi Purpose Rooms in one of the dorms. Do u stay on campus at all?
Yeah, I live in Noyer, so I’m around campus pretty much all the time. Bracken would work, but we would have to be pretty quiet in there and would probably end up bugging people trying to work. One of the multipurpose rooms would probably work better if we could get one regularly, I’ll look around Noyer tonight and see if there’s anywhere with a decent set-up.
I live off campus, I suck. But damnit, it’s a fun game.
Meet up time yet?
We’re still working out some details…but hopefully we’ll be able to put something together by either this weekend or the next weekend. I’m sure we’ll have it posted up here once we know.
I live in Stu West, so we’re pretty close by. My buddy lives in Noyer, too. Stu has a Multi Purpose Room as well. I’m going to look into that. Also, the library has those rooms towards the back that you can rent out for an hour or two. Theyre pretty far from the main study areas, and they have tvs already inside them. If we got one of those, we could be a little more loud.
It’s all good! We’re just trying to get some folks together, and get better all at the same time. We’re still gathering more and more people at the moment. If you have anyone that is interested at all to play, please feel free to invite them out with us.
Also, what kind of setup do you have? Do you have a PS3, Xbox 360, or a fightstick for either one?
I have a 360 touney stick, SSF4 & mah’val. I don’t have arcade edition, too broke.
Maybe we all can just meet up to fight like Thursday for an hour?

That’s not a bad idea, Shazam, just do a meet-up of the main group we have so far (I think we have 4 confirmed?) and see how it goes. I should be free Thursday after 5 if we want to do that.

Well, we have to see if that’s good for Chaos and his buddy, but I think we’re either gonna be set up in Stu West’s multipurpose room or a lounge I found in Noyer. Probably Stu West, seems like more people are closer to there.
I can’t bring my Xbox, as it’s technically my roommates, but I can bring the games. Also, will probably be bring your own controller/stick, makes the most sense for everyone.
I can bring the Xbox 360, and my TE fightstick.
My buddy (Mike is his name lol) has class at 5pm. We can still meet up Thursday at 5 if you guys want to. By any chance, will any of you be busy on Friday?
I’m done after 1 on Friday, I’m free pretty much all day. We can move to Friday if it’ll work out better for everyone.
