Haha I think it was a good way to start a long ass tournament. :wgrin:

You guys need to make the effort to work on your community. The AI tourneys are pretty much the way that the 3s tourneys were in FFA’s heyday so it would be good to get back to that. :lovin:

Massive props to shoo for being right that a team tourney was exactly what the scene needed right now and of course for running it while being under the influence of hype juice!

And of course scott and his brother for their dedication. Now at AI, we officially have the best community, best tournaments and best videos and setup. We finally got the sound right.

Ken I and Ed: You guys came through when it counted! High fives for team strategerizing!

Also, can’t forget our resident hypenators from the tropical land of Samoa: Bebop and Luka! All the hypernating paid off!

And of course Mike Ross, whose mental turtling strength is top tier! We really set the hype bar pretty high with that round, only to have it raised with each match after that!

Also, I hope everybody realizes and appreciates what we have here because it wasn’t long ago that we didn’t even know SF4 existed, much less know that we’d be packing 50+ people into an arcade in 2008 to watch a tournament! :lovin:

Wow, what a awesome gathering of people. You don’t see tournaments like this outside of EVO or annual tournaments like Midwest or whatever. Not only did we have 16 teams but we had even more players that could have played but couldn’t make it or came but we were already capped out! :woot: SF4, TvC, BlazeBlue… Sick time for fighting game fans!

Anyway, shout outs:

Ken: Even though he doesn’t read this, he’s the owner of AI and he keeps his machines in great shape and provides stools and a soda machine and a great arcade going so us players can have fun. Thanks dude!

Yeah, that was ridiculous. After that match, Bebop and I turned to each other, and all I could do was silently mouth “O… M… G…” with my eyes all rolled up. Gonna be a real treat on video.

Great games to everyone, had an awesome time. I’d never been to AI before, and I guess this was a good first time to go. Shoutouts: Everyone, high five. Good job to my teammates, Bob and Alex, good job to Pherai for driving, and good job to the Boat for doin it right.

But I still can’t believe they’re changing that ending, too dumb.

Oh yeah forgot to mention that everybody should know that it was Team Paul/Eric/Tatsu’s first tourney and they did awesome! Really good showing for their first tournament. I went 2 and out my first tourney and I’m sure that everybody else usually does too, so good job to those guys.

thanks guys. yeah, i’m still pretty new to the scene and paul and eric and just guys that drop by AI sometime to “play for fun and not take the game too seriously” (directly quoted from their mouths!). but i’m just glad we managed to build up some hype for you guys. :slight_smile:
