School shootings are very frequent. Hand guns and semi automatic rifles, or shotguns.

That’s right you read everything at face value without asking questions. You don’t even realize that conspiracy or not that isn’t about gun control, it’s about a person who didn’t get help when the signs were obvious. WHY are school shootings so frequent? And why are they happening more recently? Gun laws haven’t change all that much so again WHY now? I’m for better gun control nationwide BUT I say again, this is about someone who didn’t get the help he needed when the signs of mental issues were there.
We give too much credit to people. Gun laws are there and restrictive, they need to be enforced. They need to update background checks from actual files to being electronic.
The nra is against updating the database because a lot of gun nuts are also sovereign citizens and distrust the government.
Mental health is still stigmatized and shot down as a sign of weakness and people don’t seek out help until it is too late.
I think if you are a parent with a mentally ill child you should not have firearms in the house. You should not ever want your crazy kid to have readily accessible firearms.
Fuck 2 weeks ago a dumb 12 year old brought a gun to school fired it on accident and shot two kids who she was showing the gun off to. How the fuck did her parents give her access to the gun? Why did a 12 year old think it was perfectly fine to bring a gun to school?
Gun laws are harsh, restrictive, and expensive. They are only enforced when it comes to guys on probation. That guy in texas who shot up the church should have never had those guns.
But what can you do? The nra holds congress and the gop by the balls. The only thing to really change it is to flip the house and the senate. And the trend is that this presidency and the gop have shown to be ineffective.
Rest of the world knows that Americans have a hard on for guns and do a collective “smh” when this happens biweekly.
Back in high school, probably around 2003 or 2004, my school was nearly a statistic in a school shooting. One of my friends from school was suddenly arrested for conspiracy to commit mass murder and news broke out what happened. He had told some friends not to go to school on a certain day, and someone ended up tipping off police out of concern. What’s disturbing is that even though I thought we were cool, I didn’t get that warning at all. If someone didn’t talk to the police, I could have ended up as a school shooting statistic. My school got lucky, but those kids at Parkland did not. I think about this every time I see a school shooting in America, and unfortunately, I’m thinking about way too frequently these days. It’s fucked. I’m frustrated. I won’t lie and say I do love the guns I own and the hobbies that come with it, but some unified change needs to come. Not statewide with lax control but nationwide control. It’s so fucked that there was been so many school shootings this year. It’s fucked that people are becoming numb to this because nothing ever comes from it. No change, just “thoughts and prayers” as we wait for another school or mass shooting to happen and then the cycle continues.

Trump got wind he had a mexican last name so was quick to the gun… I now anticipate Trump will not say anything further other than something like "well he said he didn’t do it and really we need more facts and there is a chance he was wire tappppped or something by the Obama administration.
People just need to remember that nothing is going to be a perfect solution. It’s OK to make slow progress against an issue: that’s how you get shit done.
We need some grown ups in the room who are ready to make some tough and unpopular decisions, but instead we have a bunch of people in power who are like Instagram thots posting what they know will get the most likes.
