The one between Progressives and Centrists?
The centrists seem to be in a strong position now. Pelosi seems poised to be speaker with no serious challenger in the wings. They will also no doubt argue that the worst excesses of āResistā cost Democrats the chance to win the Senate.
The Progressives will claim credit for winning the House by motivating the base to turn out for the election. They will also continue to lionise the likes of Ocasio-Cortez as the future of the party, and point out that centrist Hillary cost the Dems 2016.
Fun times.
That is a right-wing subplot to make something small into something big. Each district and race was different. There is a gap but it will be reflected with the 2020 President nomination. This is why Biden will likely be the guy.
Even Trump wants to stock that fire for obvious reasons.
If you think the Dem party is in any kinda of disarray your kidding yourself, they might have some differences but they all dislike Trump. Yes it sucks Beto(LONGEST SHOT)/Gilliam and Abrams(Ya Kemp did everything possible to win that) all lost but lets look at the GOP who now have gone full right and are all-in on Trumpism and when Steve King wins his seat shows how far gone that party is homie.

I shouldnāt say they donāt give a shit, but the Dems need to start setting up cells or something in traditionally red States if they really want to win. Someone moving to a coastal state and voting democrat is like, uh, ok, no surprise there, but those Dem votes are needed in other places. You can even keep the address in the state youāre from and use it to vote absentee while you live somewhere else. The Dems strategy of only winning coastal states is a bad one though, they need to make inroads to some of these middle America states if they really want to sew up some of these elections.
Iām a liberal, but a lot of people who happily identify as liberals or progressives are insufferable people. Theyāre like vegans that cant wait to tell you how good a person they are because of their system of beliefs, so much so that I completely understand why someone would hate lib/progs. Which isnāt to say there arenāt folks like that on the right, but I notice them more on the left.

Michelle Lujan Grisham is the new democratic New Mexico governor, and we have two new blue Congress members, all of whom support legalization. Recreational is now on the table for legislature in NM, and will likely happen in the next year or two.

I really really hate that whole getting to vote while living in another state bullshit. Tucson gets pretty fucked by that shit due to a large chunk of our population being snowbirds who donāt contribute to our city at all, so when they vote they vote for their shit in their state and not the one they are actually using most of the year.
Shitty old people who come here for Winter cuz their states under 9ft of snow, but still straight face say āIām an easy coasterā when those motherfuckers are here for 7 months of the damn year.
