Eh, it was originally brought into the public spotlight by one of her political opponents in a previous election saying she lied on her grad school app.
Also, being part Italian might actually matter to you if you’re interested. Italy has weird citizenship laws, so you might qualify for dual citizenship by descent.

She felt like she had to prove it to everyone because why? Stop acting like this is not some ploy for sympathy. It may have been a traumatic event in her parents life, but why go out of your way to have a DNA test, have videos of it made, and put it all out ih the news? Oh yeah, politics. She could have just let it die the campaign it was brought up in but no, she had to keep going with it.
She’s getting dunked on is because she’s acting like one of those insufferable white people who finds out they have a little tiny bit of non-white heritage and all the sudden they’re an “ally” to minorities without having lifted a finger to do anything to make the lives of said minorities any better.
