That is the problem with this thing, it can sneak up on anyone in far too many ways.

Edit: Another Patriot opts out

Did they already start reporting or is this just them not wanting to even try?

Really…

It’s the backlog from the legal shit he’s been dealing with.

At this rate, the NFL should work towards creating a bubble system or opt out of the 2020-2021 season.

MLS, NBA, and WNBA showed that a bubble works.

MLB has shown that a “no bubble system” doesn’t work.

Opt out is once again, the only answer.

The NFL absolutely do not have the ability to do any sort of bubble system, there are FAR too many players.

There’s no system that they could possibly create that could manage and oversee 1500+ men simultaneously over the course of 5 months.

If the NFL really wants a full season they should start a league-wide bubble NOW

That’s it, I’m burning down the league.

I’ve been saying it all along that while I am dying for the NFL right now I am 100% expecting the season not to happen. It’s going to be a tough pill to swallow if we don’t get NFL until September 2021 at the earliest.

Wait tell me this was an in person meeting? That is just stupid enough I want it to be true and I don’t even hate the Eagles.

No it wasn’t an in-person meeting. The Eagles have been doing Virtual Practice the entire time.

Yeah a few of us here have been saying the same. Baseball got blown up the first week. NFL teams are far larger. It’s a recipe for disaster.

Corporate Rock

Honestly, $15M seems like quite the steal

That came outta nowhere, hope Rock doesn’t change too much. But congrats to him, kinda came full circle considering he use to play ball himself

This. XFL was ridiculously fun in the short time it was there. Beer Snakes, Good Reffing and the hottest takes in real time from the players.

It is nice to see a man of color wind up being if not the main owner one of the majority owners of not just a team but an entire league.

If they can bring back several of the good ideas, TV partnerships from this last virus crippled attempt, when we have a better environment to have guys play all over I think they will have a successful business.

The NFL knew in March the odds this was all going away was under 1%. Like I said they had a chance to make a bubble of sorts and get that in motion many months ago but at this point it really is going to start on time and then go 1-2 weeks with a delay to the season and put that on rinse and repeat till it was a complete shitfest its likely to be or will be fully cancelled all so the NFL can make some kinda of revenue from TV and stadiums vs calling it a complete wash and losing billions.

I don’t see how the NFL could pull off a bubble. Of the top of my head, they have more players than the NBA, MLB, and NHL combined.
