Irish people would embrace it and give absolutely zero fucks.

Youā€™re probably right. Iā€™m half Irish, and ironically Iā€™m also an alcoholic. I think itā€™d be funny as hell :joy:

One of my best friends in college was Irish Catholic. The amount of alcohol that dude could put down was obscene. He was Redskins fan too. I remember he gave me and my other roommate money for a 12 pack of beer. There was sale at the grocery store, so I snagged a 24 pack. The Skins started losing and he drank 21 of those beers. Why 21, because I grabbed 2 and other roommate grabbed 1. He would have drank them all. Then we went out to Hooters split three pitchers of beer of which he drank 2 and then he drove us home :eyes:

You need to swap that fam. Dak is gonna Kirk Cousins the Cowboys. Heā€™s gonna be alright. Ultimately the Cowboys have to pay him 70 million guaranteed over the next two years. Then heā€™s getting a long term deal on top of that from the Cowboys or someone else.

?? Didnā€™t the cowboys want him for 5 years and he o ly wants them for 4?

Yeah that was supposedly the hang up. The salary cap may go down next year because of all this. That being the case heā€™s really going to have them by the balls. More so than he did this year, but heā€™s actually going to have more leverage than even Cousins had.

Anyone who thought there would be a season this year were on some drugs. Be real guys, there was NEVER going to be a real season.

At most youā€™ll have the NFL try to push out a game or two, realize when a ton of people get sick that it wonā€™t fly, and itā€™ll be cancelled. The best possible scenario is that they realize itā€™s a non-starter and they actively work to mitigate the damage from the lost season right now.

The sheer number of people that have to be involved to have a game get pulled off makes it highly unlikely. You can be damn sure they are going to try through.

One can hope but if all the things I have seen and experience in 2020 has taught me anything, it is be prepared for the worst.

I think the NFL either needs to call the season a lost cause now and not get peoples hopes up or do an elaborate nuclear option like find some country that did things right that are already having fans in the stands and move everyone there and make it essentially all London games on a like Fri-Mon schedule but even that seems unrealistic(just spit balling).

The NBA is showing how close to impossible this is all going to be.

hopefully !!

It was never an monopoly, anyone can make a football game. Now if you want a NLF license, its up to the NLF league, the Owners and the Players Association to all give each their own license to allow a NLF game to be made. One more license for the name Madden in the case of EA.

Last Football game I bought was NLF Blitz for the N64.

True but in the Western markets especially if you donā€™t have the license, you are at a disadvantage.

It isnā€™t impossible but sports fans are less likely to give the fictional John Smith throwing TDs to Bob Davis a shot over someone they see on TV or their own fictional character throwing to Larry Fitzgerald.

That is NCAA college football video game died when EA could no longer pretend to not use college athletes by just not using their names or faces.

Well the NCAA arenā€™t allowed to use actual players names as college athletes cannot get paid for their sports roles, and you have to get their legal rights to use their names.

Back in the 80s and early 90s alot of sports games have made up teams and players
