American Football 2019 Thread:

I bet you anything that I probably have CTE as well. We can’t test it until I’m dead. Unless we can test for CTE when people are alive now!

Judging by the way you post, I would assure you gleefully bash your head against a stone wall 60 times a day

But seriousness, I may have CTE due to various things in life probably mostly army.

Tickets for Fins / Raiders is starting at 221 a pop. I’m gonna spend $700 on my own Christmas present this year. My kid is getting a $20 gift card

A murder has happened. To style.

Oh God they’re worse than I thought

This is what happens when you let someone who thinks they know shit about a subject ‘revamp’ something that has earned timelessness.

You would think franchises across all sports would know better but they mostly are looking at the new sales of jerseys and merch.

Ya I can’t justify $600 each for Bucs/Raiders or $400 each for Bucs/Broncos.

Gonna try my best to get some for the Bucs/Raiders game when they go on general sale in like July and if I get some that is cool and if not I tried. I have been to many football games and have spent no more than $75 a ticket which includes primetime games and not terrible seats. In fact now that I think about it I haven’t spent more than $75 a ticket for any event I have ever gone to which includes WWE(Wrestlamania, Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber) all in the last 5 years and NBA tix are cheap.

I would be willing to pay up for Bucs @ ARI if they were to play a playoff game as it would only be game/parking cost.

The left and right aren’t that bad but holy shit that solid blue is fugly.

Hmm…

If Vince is truly passionate about football (something besides pro wrestling) then we could have an XFL in 2021. I mean what does he have to lose (nothing really). Plus like someone said earlier, it gives people chances who didn’t make it in the NCAA or who didn’t get to go to colleges and universities.

I don’t think any solid football people will ever want to do business with Vince again after how Oliver Luck got fucked over

What sucks is the best possible outcome would be the good football people buying the XFL themselves and completely cutting Vince out from it. But no one else is gonna have the bankroll to fund the XFL for long term, especially after the Pandemic. So it’s best for the XFL to stay dead despite it doing so well out of the gate.

Yeah this past season was the best shot of the XFL as a brand to succeed and for the most part it did. However shuttering the business and declaring bankruptcy might have helped Vince and co long term, it basically killed the brand for anyone with football ties that can land elsewhere or not have to deal with the mess.
