Yeah, Howie is proving yet again heās the worst drafting GM in the entire league. Give Wentz an extension last year, only to draft someone who he probably wants to replace Wentz. You sure as fuck donāt waste a Second on a backup. You do it on someone you expect to take over once the starter gets hurt.
You donāt think Wentz is the guy, fine. But then you fucked up giving him that extension. Either way, Howieās ass needs to be on the hot seat immediately.
I hope Wentz is as tough mentally as they said because Philly like fuck yo feelings apparently. Didnāt even wait until 3rd round like most teams do for drafting a backup.
Iām not really worried about Wentz mentally. He and Foles got along famously even as a ton of people were calling for the Eagles to be Folesā Team and not his. I donāt expect it to be any different in this case.
But still either Hurts becomes the guy, you trade him for a similar pick later or you wasted a pick on a guy that will walk to a big contract in a few years.
Oh donāt get me wrong, this pick is terrible unless Hurts is a Top 10 QB and even then that means Howie wasted a hell of a lot of money just last year to secure Wentz.

A top 12 team adding drama the second shit starts to go bad and has needs still to fill. I got the Packers move but this one is hard to justify even with a QB with injury concerns.

Because weāre a terrible drafting team, and no one really noticed until now.
The worst part? Even Hurts is pissed off by this because he wanted to come into a squad to be the starter or at least have the chance. Even if the belief is that Wentz is too injury prone and will be done sooner than later itās not a good position for Hurts to be in, especially in the most spite filled city in the League.
Shit, Howie you shouldāve just brought Foles back at this rate. At least Philly loves him.
