I used to want that before their games became mtx slots machines with sports side games in them.
Who tf thought the Toronto Ninjas was a good idea? That shit mad cornyâ:joy:
Happens in rugby too. You get to hear all the reasons the booth guy says about his rulings.
Pretty good since you learn how things are ruled.
NFL writing positive articles on XFL is very very interestingâŚ
hmmmmm interesting
XFL is the NXT to the NFLâs RAW/SD, I can see why theyâd give it good reviews
Goodell already went out publicly to say he wants the XFL to succeed. He never said shit about the AAF. So the NFL probably sees a lot more potential from the XFL.
But for those saying âthe league needs Brand Recognitionâ. You get brand recognition by playing, simple as that. PJ Walker is gonna get hyped up as a potential star in the League, Cardale Jones put on a good performance. Karnoff right now is seen as a complete asshat of a QB.
You play, people watch and theyâll form their own opinions and your brand. Thatâs how it works in every sport.
If anything Karnoffâs performance all but guarantees Josh Jacksonâs spot once heâs clear of his thigh injury.
Having the XFL as a viable spring alternative that pays players to learn pro systems is probably a positive thing for the NFL.
No more NCAA plantation.
I think this makes ncaa a mor important part. I think it supports the plantation even more. Now guys who aret quiet NFL draft ready can do a year or two here first.
The XFL doesnât have age limit. Guys that are good that canât make the grades can go to XFL. Dudes that get caught up in NCAA violation BS can just go to the XFL. It gives college players another option besides transferring and having to sit a year.
I do like the transparency with reviews so far. Also they could use the XFL to help new commentators get more seasoning, Iâve liked Greg Olsen commentary from the few times they had him over in the NFL so this should help him even more.
Nah, its going to start biting young talent from the NCAA. If youâre trying to go pro, why would you bother with college if you could go to a league that actually pays you?
This is the first year of the XFL so it has to just go out there and have a solid season of no bullshit. Games have to look competent. Officiating, camera work, etc need to looks good. Next year they can actually start getting at high school/college talent to make the jump.
Since weâre guaranteed two more years of the XFL, the post season is going to be extremely interesting. Them being a spring league means that you could see people who play for the National title go straight to the XFL in a way the NFL canât do. They get enough of those and itâll turn into a spectacle.
Damn anyone who ever wondered why Aaron Murray never made it after college can watch the XFL game with Tampa Bay Vipers and see why. Although not all of it is on him, but damn son is not inspiring confidence.
Didinât Vince say some bullshit that only morally upstanding individuals were allowed in the XFL? I know most if not all NCAA violations are bullshit, but IIRC, he was saying that anyone with any type of rap sheet wouldnât be allowed in the league.
Or was he just trying to lure in the kap hatinâ crowd
He was more referring to jail niggas. Ncaa violations tend to be super bullshit, like niggas trying to make a rap album cause theyâre poor.
To back up @Maxx 's point. Terrell Pryor got in trouble for selling his own gear. Not stealing somebody elses stuff but selling his own stuff. Chase Young was suspended two games for taking out a loan. Most NCAA violations are BS. As for the moral thing, It was probably PR speak although they didnât call Johnny Manziel so who knows
He sold his gold pants, which I donât think should of got him in trouble necessarily, but the school gives them that, so if he sells it then the school is paying him in a round-a-bout way.
Pisses me off tho, the gold pants are a tradition, have a little respect for that. Also, it got tressel fired, and JT seems to be a pretty decent human being.
Why would they call him? Dude washed out of every league heâs been in.
Johnny I get. Heâs a universal fuck up. You donât want that kinda imagine for a league just Startin out
