And before you say Iām salty about losing, I have been pretty adamant that the Eagles had very little chance to win. The Eagles havenāt beat Seattle since Pete Carroll came to town and the games for the most part havenāt been close. Even if Wentz plays the entire game, I feel the result wouldāve been the same albeit a bit closer in the end. And McCown played his heart out so all the respect to him as well.
But itās absolutely bullshit that Wentz gets robbed of a chance to even ATTEMPT to prove what he can do in the playoffs because of a dirty hit, and now dumbasses will use this as the āAha, see, Wentz is always thisā like you just did. When Seahawks fans and even fucking Skip āhates Wentz with his soulā Bayless says the hit was fucking dirty and Wentz was screwed, then shut the fuck up.

The league wonāt mess around when it comes to concussions. If it is found out to be a concussion, it would be the first one ever for Carson Wentz.

Clowney is hardly one of the dirtiest players in the league. Reckless and prone to penalties but hardly anymore dirtier then most defensive players.

The difference to the crazy dirty psychopaths (say Burfict) is that Clowney is a lot more calculated. Generally what he does is intentional, but heās intelligent to know when, where and how to go about these types of hits to minimize the likelihood of getting penalized but maximizing the chances that he causes some manner of pain or injury. Youāre right he doesnāt do it all the time, otherwise heād be kicked out of the League (well, Burfict still is in the League so maybe not) but he does it just enough that itās a trend.
Chances are he (and only he as I donāt believe the Seahawks would ever call or condone something like this) knew he could take the shot feeling he would have a good chance of knocking Wentz out of the game and worst case scenario he gets ejected which is still a trade heās making in the playoffs since they wouldnāt suspend him for the next game.
As someone that has lived in the area that Clowney went to HS and college in, you are over estimating his intelligence. Clowney and calculating shouldnāt be used in the same sentence.

I have no ill will towards the Seahawks in general. Like I said, even with Wentz I expect the Seahawks to win. Itād be a closer game for sure, but I feel they win like they always do against Philly regardless of location. The issue is with Clowney and him alone.
