I’m sorry for asking this like a noob:
How do i cancel pressing down the j.:h: button into a :df::h: ??
if i release :h: to press again :df::h: for the dive, the j.:h: will release.
Does this means that i can cancel the Charging j.:h: in the middle of the animation?
I definitely agree with the OP, glaive is probably her most versatile stance. It gives her good mobility, nice range, decent keep away actually(you’ll be surprised how effective glaive chop cancel into paper slash is) and correct me if im wrong but its probably her most damaging stance. But thats not to take anything away from her other two stances, rosary is really good with the keep away since she can duck under a lot of projectiles and pelter them with ice shots, while we have all seen what the disk is capable off once she gets in dat ass.
Ammy is probably the most versatile character in the game and I definitely think she is top 5, but lets not get into that lol.
Quick question for the Ammy players who’ve been using glaive for a while.
Is it me or does glaive s.:h: have a really odd hitbox? I frequently play against very agressive Morrigan play (i.e. airdash drillkick + Ex Zero projectile assist… all day) and I’ve benefitted a lot from the added mobility of the glaive. The problem is that her s.:h: despite its huge ass swing and pretty blue trail seems to not hit anything past the 45 degree mark. I’ve resorted to using the first hit of her f:h: series instead, but its a fair bit slower and harder to time.
Is s:h: not good for anti-air or am I getting the timing wrong?
Ammy’s standing heavy in both glaive and whip have two animations. There is the one that makes it look like it would be a good anti-air. Then there is a slash that starts at the 45. The 45 is where the hitbox truly starts. Use power slash as an anti-air, except against sentinel.
Powerslash is very important for ammy’s defense. Especially in whip stance where the normals and specials all have pretty long recovery. Throwing down a H power slash before you commit will prevent characters from coming in on top of you so easily.
If you’re using the Solar Flare for mainly offense (and you never/rarely use Fireworks/reflect) seriously… get comfortable with the Thunder Edge. This thing hurts. DHC glitch into Vale of Mist, weapon switch to Thunder Edge, qcf+L x5 = ton of damage. If they’re not dead, follow up with s.M, S, j.m, j.m, j.S, j.DF+H, qcf+S, shuffle or whatever.
