Agreed, but the number of bronze or silver talented players ain’t a lot. Looking at how bad the MM is at the moment chances are that you get better players at the higher leagues and at the same time get to play with those below gold.
I guess I just don’t get matched against these allegedly good bronzes.
Most Bronze players are just ASS and so fuckin FREE! I fought the occasional decent Bronze that just hangs out in the Battle Lounge and don’t do ranked no more. But when it comes to actual ranked and casual? Nah them niggas is ass. Now…I have fought super and ultra silvers that are very good players, because they don’t play ranked anymore.

If you’re stuck on bronze you’re most likely new to fighting games. I suggesting watching youtube videos of fundamentals, look up footsies on sonichurricane.com. Learn frame data. Most bronze people I play seem to have a poor understanding of fighting game fundamentals.
I went all the way to gold, then got bored and tried two different characters online than my main, and went down to ultra bronze. I’ve been stuck there since like mid april because I haven’t touched ranked…or barely the game in general.
I’ll soon join you both… if the matchmaking fix turns out to be good.
Actually these last few days the MM seemed fine. I’ve only been matched with people of similar skill (+/- 1000LP max, generally around +/-500).
Why does the game always pair me up with 10000 point super platinums
they updated MM, the game now analyses your gameplay instead of rank and matches you accordingly kappa

Ever since the update I’ve been getting matched pretty accurately. I got knocked down to Gold cuz im learning Ibuki, but I usuall only get matched with Golds, Super and Ultra Golds. Occasionally ill fight an Ultra Silver or a Platinum but thats rare.
Before the patch I would be in platinum or ultra gold and be fighting super bronzes and silvers.
Same here. I’m silver and I am only being mathed with silvers and super silvers.
…it has changed for me as well. I am seeing bronze and silver only in casual and ranked.
Finally the match making is half decent, im still Super Bronze (dont play much at all) and was feeling the constant wrath of much high ranked players many times 
There are tons of bronze players.
I am regular bronze and I have only been matched up against bronze players in Ranked or Casual.
I seem to have the frequent issue of being matched against opponents almost 1k points ahead of me when in Bronze. I’m definitely not good at SFV, and when hovering between Super Bronze and Ultra, I get matched with opponents well leading into Silver or already on the border of Silver while I’m not anywhere close. I find it bizarre how Capcom’s matchmaking works, and I simply don’t understand it.
The reason is the matchmaking is based on rank and not on LP. Silver rank is 2000 to 2999 LP and a 1500LP Ultra Bronze vs a 2999LP Silver is the same thing for matchmaking as a 1999LP Ultra Bronze vs a 2000LP Silver.
Depending on the time and the place you might also get matched more frequently with people off rank simply because there’s nobody else playing it atm that you can have good connection with.
Matchmaking has gotten much better =)
