Hahha…yep…but its still premature…he may not be the best character in the game…wait till we get a hold of CE Guile too…hahaha…lets see if that makes him better or not… Toki for the win!!! LOL j/k
I dont think CE Bison will be the best in the game though…
I think V-Akuma will beat him…unless the V-Ism characters have been toned down in Hyper but from what I hear they havent…

Here’s a little background history on the Alpha/Zero series that may help you people (well, some of ya).
*Zero/Alpha - First in series - pretty much identical except for a few fixes, etc.
Zero2 - This is the bare bones Zero2/Alpha2. Evil Ryu and the SFII characters are NOT selectable. I imagine this is what the normal version of Zero2 on the collection is.
Alpha2 - This is Zero2 plus said extra characters and some tweaks. This is most likely the arrange mode since it was never offered in this fashion in Japan.
Zero2Alpha/Alpha2Gold - This is the arcade version of this game missing Overpowered Shin-Gouki/Akuma and Cammy. Everyone else’s special versions are there.
Zero2Alpha/Alpha2Gold Arrange - Most likely this includes Shin-Gouki/Akuma and we know it includes Cammy from your reports.
Zero3/Alpha3 - Very bare bones version of game. Secret characters include Mike Bison/Balrog and Juni/Juli.
Zero3Upper(arcade)/Alpha3(ps1,dc, etc) - Most likely this is the arrange version with all the extra characters from Upper like Guile, Evil Ryu, etc. I imagine the console version of Shin-Gouki/Akuma is selectable.
Zero3DoubleUpper/Alpha3MAX - Ingrid, Eagle, etc are in this version and unless they are hidden away extra well, they are probably missing from this collection. If they are hidden, it’s probably via Secret Star like Dee from the Vampire Collection.

Well, my mind is made up. I orded from Play-Asia just now! :wgrin:
After selecting SFZ3 you’ll be given a list of options (for each mode): Green, Blue, Pink, Red
Hold Start and Push Left on P1 (Right on P2)
[]Do this on Green and you get DS-ism
[]Do this on Blue and you get SF3-ism
[]Do this on Pink and you get SF2CE-ism
[]Do this on Red and you get M-ism
HSFZ IS the a3 version that has the 4 modes right? For some reason I can get the mode that goes past the 4th one (shin bison, etc…) but none of the 3 other ones :S
I agree. Can someone try to do that inf. in a two player match and see what happens? Just to make sure it isn’t some training mode only type thing. I don’t see how CE bison couldn’t have dizzied him, especially if they retain all of their “sf2” properties. I can see it now, bison forces you to block a scissor kick in the corner, then goes into throw, counter hit jab mind games
Stun must have been turned off during training, because it definitely causes stun after a while. However, characters don’t seem to get all of the sf2 properties in CE-ism. The stun system seems to remain constant, so in training mode you will most likely not score a dizzy before you would score a KO (actually, it’ll happen at about the same time so it doesn’t count).
I wouldn’t worry too much. This is the type of shit that looks hard onscreen, but will become second nature once you have the game in your hands. Think Super Turbo, and the things you do to get the classic version of the characters.
For those wondering, the game does NOT work on HDloader, retail or patched, but there is hope. The Japanese version has HD support for Sony’s official drive, so if you install the game from the games menu (takes about 40 minutes) the only loading you will have is to the game menu and back if you quit, once a game has been selected the HD takes over and there’s no more loading. But as I said, this only works on the official Sony drive.
DMS modchip users have reported that if you copy an installed image of the game from the official Sony drive (there’s already an image on the net) to you own non Sony HD, and apply the ATAD patch (tricks the Ps2 into thinking the game is running on an official Sony drive, but only works on 24bit HD’s, meaning HD’s that are 120 gigs or less) then you can do the same thing with your non Sony HD. And obviously, seeing as this only works if you have a DMS chip, it doesnt matter if your disc is an original or a backup.
PAL peeps: We all know what happened us with 3rd Strike, but theres still hope if your planning on importing this. First off, it works perfecly with Swap Magic 3.3 and higher. Secondly, If the game gets a US release chances are it wont have any HD support. This might mean the US version will work with HDloader. Fingers crossed.
nope-- you gotta beat all the normal versions, all the arrange versions and Pocket Fighter once, in no particular order, to unlock it. then you hold select and press O on Zero 1.
You can screw with the options to make it go faster though (1 round, full damage, fast timer etc.)
