Alpha Anthology *Capcom for the motherfucking WIN*

Apologies if this has been mentioned already, but I just noticed that if you select two classic (CE-ISM?) characters in Hyper SFZ Mode, you get their old-school music themes for the background music! For example, I just picked Ken vs. Vega (claw) and got the classic SF2 Vega stage theme. Very nice touch!

EDIT: You don’t need to select two Classic characters, one does the trick.

somebody asked before but didn’t see an answer…only a few backgrounds in the hyper mode?

is the reach on CE-ISM Ken’s Shoryuken any longer than his A3 counterpart?

haha, I’ve been playing the HSFZ for about five hours and didn’t realize the lack of variety in the backgrounds. Yeah, the stages are dull looking, but there’s a good amount of variety for the BGM.

Are ce characters easier to dizzy as they should be, or are they ass-backwards, and can dizzy other chars like the ww chars in Anniversay? The dizzy rate should be set by what game the victim is from rather than what game the attacker is from. I STILL think that ww chars should not have been able to dizzy in a couple hits, but able to BE dizzied with a couple hits to make up for their greater strength.

ah, didn’t see that for whatever reason. that stinks…i’d go insane looking at the same backgrounds :looney:

Can a3 characters incur counterhit on non-a3 characters?

Can all characters valle-CC with A2 meter?

Thanks for the reply ryu1999.

DJ air slasher being nerfed makes DJ players … all 3 of us.

Ok I just bought it off Play-asia, it should be here in a week or two.

Btw for those that want to import it and can’t wait, play-asia has it on sale right now (10 dollars off) at $39.90.

EDIT: It’s only been a hour and a half and they already shipped my copy. lol

Has anyone tried those Kattobi cancels with different dipswitch settings? I doubt that’ll make a difference this time.

Can anyone enlighten me on why you guys keep calling the new classic-ism, SF2CE-sim??

Don’t know, it was first called that a while ago in the thread when people were still wondering what the new S-isms actually were. It caught on, I guess, heh.

The fact that only characters from SF2CE can select this ISM can be another reason.

Can anyone test “SF2CE-ism” on Cammy, T-hawk, Dee Jay and Fei-long??

kinda lame that you can only do Vs. and Training in HSFZ. a little single player mode would be nice.

That’s alright, you have the PSX/DC/Saturn/GBA/PSP versions for that.

Sorry if I missed this somewhere in the thread…but how the hell do I select HSFZ? I unlocked game #4, which I thought was HSFZ…but I don’t see it anywhere?

I want the isms dammit. and I don’t always play like I’m training for a tourney (actually, I never play like that) :arazz:

hold select while choosing SFA1.

Thanks!

Am I the only one who noticed that there won’t be a versus mode in SF2 Hyper Fighting? Does this mean no versus or coop features in ANY of the CCC2 games?
How come peeps keep saying that this version might be featured at an EVO tournament, yet it DOESN’T HAVE VERSUS MODE?!?
IMO, the collection of games seems great but NO VERSUS MODES or MULTIPLAYER/Co-op MODES (like in Knights of the Round or Magic Sword) really HURTS! I had more fun playing against human peeps in ST2HyperFighting than the CPU! Somebody please clarify this for me before I go out and purchase this game expecting to have my friends over to play it with me if they really won’t be able to. Sirlin makes the whole collection sound as though it’s a 1 player only collection. Some of those games would lose most of their magic if they lost the versus or co-op modes. Anybody?
Also, anyone got a release date for CCC2?
Lastly, was CCC1 worth getting? I kind of want it but need more info (versus mode in SF2?)
As always my SRK brothers… thanks! :wgrin:

I haven’t tested this but when I was looking at the custom config menu even if you set it to the first A3 revision there are two stars left unchecked checking them may make these possible.

Huh? I would just assume that, like in the arcade, challengers would need to press start on the second player pad/stick. Otherwise it wouldn’t really be “emulated” now would it?
