Isn’t the pic on Capcom’s official JP site that shows Sakura doing her MSHvSF air fireball enough proof?
Gief’s gltich 360 is Arcade only.
It’s the only concrete thing I can think of at the moment, though I’m personally more intestered in walking/game speed, sprite sizes, V-activation invulnerability - the things that hurt the console versions a lot.
so whens the brady SFAA guide coming out? =x
there gonna have there work cut out! writing a guide on 16 different ryu’s! o_O
Wow, this just keeps getting better and better. And since nobody else said it, CDL, you do realize that 'Gief, Chun, and ‘Sim had the classic versions, ST versions IIRC, selectable in regular Alpha 2 on Saturn right? That would entirely explain it saying Zero 2 for Gief and not Zero 2’ or Zero 2 Alpha. So are you bitter enough yet?
Let’s just edit the stupidity out of this thread.
Angry Mod Edit: Ah, much better. Shut the fuck up CDL, and go make some troll threads or something so you’ll think people give a shit about you.
If they do a really good job like they did with the SFAC & CFE guides, I’m definitely buying it.
Actually the US version of Alpha 2, [960306] has the Super Street Fighter (No super bar) version of Gief and Sim. Maybe Chun too but I can’t remember. SuperInvaders has said that the Zero 2 Arrange is the 960306 version with Evil Ryu and other extras that was added when it was release in the US. That’s the reason Gief was label “ZERO 2.”
I await your rebuttal, CDL.
Hmm looks similar to the arcade to me but i dont see him clutching his fist after the super finishes all the hits. Is that where I look for it?
EDIT: Nm i had no clue what to look for but if you mean the QCF X 2 P super, then yes he clutches his hands for a split seconds after the level 3 super.
Can you explain this glitch to me, my memory of this is really hazy.
You on the left side (not 1p only). activate VC3 with 75% or more. Complete 360+k within the first few frames after activation flash. 360+k again to otg
Update:
Notes:
All the games have 0 load time. The only load time you see is when you choose to load any of the games in the main menu.
The main menu list A1,A2, A2GOLD, A3, PocketFighter.
When I finished A3 and A2, it said " UNLOCKED SECRET GAME ALPHA 3 " etc,etc.
I went back to the option menu to choose a game and cant seem to find the new alpha or alpha 2. I tried different things but no luck.
I went back and beat the game again made sure I saved it to my memory card and still nothing.
All the games seem flawless and like there arcade counter parts.
A3 only has the arcade charecters listed.
There is a training mode in all the games I checked. Its a similar training mode to whats in CVS2.
A2 Gold , you hit start on the charecters to cycle thru there hidden variations etc.
Sorry could u explain this a little bit more in detail like what player am I, what side of the screen etc and I’ll fire it up in training mode.
Off topic: I can confirm kabotti cancels still work with Geif lol.
I love this move already, Ken will definitely be getting more playing time. :nunchuck:
Capcom has really gone all out on this alpha collection, i’d be definitely surprised if they surprised us with SF4 or SFA4 sooner than we think.
I don’t THINK it matters what player you are, but to be safe be 1st player, and have Gief on the left side, and the dummy on the right side. Activate, complete close 360+K just after the activation flash finishes. The opponent should bounce funny, I think towards you, and do another 360+K as soon as the animation for the first 360+k finishes, and you should be able to otg them with the 2nd 360+k
That’s because they’re secret.
In the Vampire Collection, to play the Arrange mode versions of games you had to hold something down when you picked the game you wanted to play. For example, if you wanted to play Arrange VS, you had to hold Select when you picked VS. I KNOW I read somewhere that you have to hold something to get the Arrange version, but I don’t remember what it was. It’s probably still Select, and if it’s not, it’s probably Square then. Try that out.

There is no DIP Switch menu that I can see for editing the games.

Again, also had to hold buttons for this in the Vampire Collection. Try holding L1+R1 (EDIT: or L2+R2 apparently) when you go into the Options Menu for whatever game.
No load times either, this sounds A LOT like the Vampire Collection, but even better because of all the new shit. Mid-June needs to hurry up and get here. I could order the Japanese one and will if for some reason the US one has less stuff, but I’d rather not have to swap discs every time I want to play it if I can help it.

Dip switches are found by selecting “Options” while holding down L2 and R2.
update: I tried what 9Tnine said.
I held R1 and hit start at options. It gave me Bonus Option 1. It lets me adjust life bars , gauge etc.
Now when I hold R2 and hit start. I get Secret Option 1.
In it it says
’ 98/06/29 ver
’ 98/07/27 ver
CUSTOMIZE
If i choose one of the two above the stars change what are lighten up.
I can go to customize and change anyone. Problem is none of the starts tell you what they do.
I think the more I beat the game it might unlock secret option 2 and hidden option 2.
If anyone got suggestions to how to unlock things based on Vampire Chronicles let me know.
hold select and press O.
I was able to get Ryus crouch cancel infinite to work in training mode. Thank you middlekick for the assist.
vc1: fierce red fireball-> standing jab-> jump towards with strong, then land and continue in crouch cancels works.
Try the Arrange mode A3. Hold Select when you pick it.
