Is there any way that a-ism Charlie is any good? Or do I need to just learn the cc for Charlie to be able to compete?
Also any combos I should work on?
Thanks

A-charlie IS good. Just less agressive than v-charlie.
Of course you need to be able to combo into super (I canât consistently).
In general you can stay quite basic in charlie combos(that donât involve supers)examples:
One question for others:
Is the crossfire blitz safe if blocked ? even at lvl1 ?
If yes you can incorporate it into blocked strings.
I mean that
"(knock down follow-up corner), 4* 6lp, 91* hk, 1lp, 3lk, 16lk,1*, 1mp, 6lp, 2hk" would own (11 blocked hits total + 6 chip damage).
Does v-charlie has a guard crush confusion vc of similar capabilities ?
I saw a custom one by TOMA but I canât do it.
Need videos
Okay, total newbie here, so go easy on the flame and whatnot.
Yup, Iâm almost certain Iâve missed an entire forum which holds the answer to my question, but the general nature of a newbie makes me post my question here anyway.
Um. SFA3 videos. Gimme link please
Basically, I suck at SFA3, and I wanna see how some good players play (Iâve only played a few people on KailleraâŚso, I wouldnât know xD I played Sub thoughâŚbut he kinda owns me), and I think videos can help me with that. Out-of-game theory helps and all, especially if you can actually pull the stuff off (ie, if youâre not me), but in the end, you have to know what youâre doing in the field too.
'kay then - thanks in advance.
there were some good A-Charlie matches on a-cho a few months ago. iirc the player beat an A-Sim, and i think at least one other character.
Any other match videos?
Btw, whatâs âa-choâ? xD
thanks.
search!
all you have to do is read a couple pages back evenâŚ
Or, instead of posting that pretty much empty post, you could have just told me <.<
Nevermind. Helpful people isnât what the internet generally consists of.
Anyone have a link any other videos then?
Well, the reason people cite a-cho so often is because they are the best A3 players in the world⌠literally. And they update with new videos frequently.
And the reason people get so testy about answering that question is because it is asked (and answered) so very frequently. And yet, the URL to the a-cho page is exactly in the name itself: www.a-cho.com
People argue that it would take just as much effort to tell you, as it would have taken for you to figure it out yourself. And it probably takes the same ammount of effort to ask as it does to tell you to figure it out.
Anyway. Aside from that, you can probably find fresh stuff at www.video-opera.com or www.combovideos.com and you might also try looking through the forum at www.gamecombos.com if youâre really desperate.
Then thereâs the GoForBroke site and hub. The site http://www.geocities.com/goforbrokehub/news.htm links to new videos all the time.
In order to log onto the GFB hub, youâll need DC++ (direct connect)
There, you can find loads and loads and loads of videos on other peoples harddrives (amoung other things, heh). Including stuff that is no longer hosted on any web sites.
@spritz, I think you will find these are some of the most helpful people you will find. They love to delve deep into their knowledge, however⌠normal standard stuff like, where can I find videos has been asked many times before. But ask something like, how many frames of recovery does ryu have from f+mk or whats the best way for an infinite start up with sagat⌠and you have their attention, for them then to give you some of the most in depth info you will find anywhereâŚ!
Sorry, just had to get that off my chest.
Kitch :badboy:
edit: I dont actually need that info xenozip, lol. :pleased:
Is there a difference frame wise between the 3 shotoâs low forward ?
Does the ism changes something ?
Can someone post V-Sakura basics? Also what makes the top tiers âtopâ?
Iâd say her pokes are awesome, her vcs and good pokes strings.
Basicly(itâs much more complicated than that).
Pokes(far): st.rh, close fierce.
Pokes strings close: low short/jab x3, close fierce xx hado.
Main combo: low short/jabx3, high shoâoken (?) or close fierce xx high shoâoken.
Air: any, there all good, j.short for priority.
Vcs: vc2(?) for crouch cancel after vc juggle.
activate(ground): jab shoâoken or normal into strong shoâoken
activate(anti-air, in you face): jab shoâoken
Midscreens: [4hp xx 214lk/mk]*n
[4hp xx 214mk, 5hp xx214mk]*n
Corner: [5hp xx hado(no-charge)]*n
enders(corner): 5hp xx hado(full-charge), close fierce xx 623hk(+k x3).
There is a crouch cancel unflippable start-up but I donât know it and I canât do ccs.
Corner guard crush: [4hp xx 214lk]*n
I went to a-choâs site but all I can find is GGXX vids. Can some help me?
a-cho updates the page regularly with vids from their tourney. But, old vids are not reâuploadedâ.
So, u just have to wait till they have their sfa3 tourney b4 u can get sfa3 vids.
Im sure someone has a database of a big bunch of a-cho vids :).
OC for V-Sakura
I do this combo for V-Sakura :
[OC2] MP Shouâou Ken -> [Back + HP -> MK Shunpuu Kyaku -> HP-> MK Shunpuu Kyaku]xn, (corner) [HP -> HP Hadou Ken (whiff)]xn, (20%) (HPs shadow hits) Jumping MP -> (Jumping MPs shadow hits) cc Jump HP -> cc Jump MP -> [cc Jumping HP]x3 -> Crouching HP -> Sakura Otoshi (P,P,P).
I have some problems for doing the 3 cc Jumping HP, but it is possible (i have seen it in a a-cho video). I donât think the set-up is unflipable. In recent a-cho vids, the cc part is not this one.
Sorry guy⌠i guess Iâm a unhelpful dick eH?
Is there a way to get the near perfect execution for vcs(no matter who, with or without ccs)?
(I want a deeper answer than âjust practiceâ)
Sak BnB combo is: Cr. SK x2, st. SK, FP DP
Iâve never been able to do cr. SK x 3, FP DP and get it to combo, I donât think it can actually combo, but someone correct me if Iâm wrong. Also, close FP, FP DP will also not combo in V-ism (due to having manual control over attacks). It is actually b+FP xx FP DP (her b+FP in V-ism is her close FP in her other isms)
