It also gives the opponent a ton of meter.
middlekik: ah yes that was the other thing. gives the opponent hella meter back. thats the thing that makes akumas vcās deadlier since most of his good ones are under 10 hits, so opponent doesnt gain much meter. thats always been a downside to vcās like sims corner vc. does great damage, but you fill the opponents meter all the way up which isnt too goodā¦
Master J- I think you can just do the demon flip, but to be honest I havenāt played that match in a very long time. VC1 -> fireball wonāt work, because throwing regular fireballs wonāt work, and activating a VC doesnāt really speed things up too much. You may be able to start a VC with a fireball and get him if you take the hit though, I know that changes what certain characters can do to him. Or just jab him out of the ball.
Working on it. May be able to borrow my broās camera. Canāt kidnap Daigo, because Iām now certain that he can do the BAS VC to peopleā¦IN REAL LIFE. I may have to perform sexual favors on him to get him to play A3 with me. I will do it if I have to.
Anyway, who else is going to Evo?
Iāll be going foā sho.
Can Someone give me some V-Vega tips?
Master J: strong DPās are usful if youāve already suffered a lot of scaling. For example, if your opponent is at 1/3 life, multiple strong DPs are likely to cause more damage simply because of the sheer number of hits.
N Ken: can you be more specific?
i will be at EVO sporting v-cody to the fullest on casual on b-izmās impress cab
Ok cool, thanks for all the help guys
Also, I would like to know if the CPU does sometimes block the unblockable VC? Because sometimes I hit them and other times they block it and I would like to know if they are actually blocking it or am I stuffing up the timing? I know a human opponent has a very slim chance of blocking it, but I would like to think that all the times when the CPU does block it they are actually blocking it and I am not stuffing up the timing.
Sometimes I swear that the CPU is cancelling its blockstun early and stopping me from doing certain combos⦠or it could be that the computer can reversal light attacks easily, i dunnoā¦
Anyways Sabre, Iād be interested to see how your V-Cody does, only reason I would use him myself is for counter VC, outside a good V-ism opponent or Chun-Li Iād be using A-Cody, because if the opponent gets one good poke string on you, you prolly be GCād unless they donāt know how v-cody works. Happens alot at my arcade, Gief users are wondering why their ticks go though me instead of hitting so they dont tick SPD me for some reason⦠ Damn some players will just it stuck in their minds that they HAVE to jump-in, makes the mid-screen VC too easy.

good luck to the evo ppl
about cpu blocking. A3 Cpu is able to block v-rolento ghetto unblockable
Ryuās airthrow is annoying it keeps throwing opponent out of the corner .
And what are your thoughts on adon. Iāve never seen anyone use him so Iām trying to create my onw style:o .
OK
What Im using for normals right now is c. jab, c. strong, c. forward, s. forward(some), c. Fierce, c. RH.
My VC pattern is mixed, if Im close enough to the corner I do repeated Fierce rolls, Outside corner Ive been working on doing c. RH until either 1) they dont block or 2) They get Guard Crushed. After a c. RH knockdown, Ive been messing around with some crossup games, like doing RH flip kick after the knockdown and then at the last second doing f+RH to get a double crossup, or just doing one and then mixing it up from there.
Ive found that I dont really have a way to deal out decent damage for the most part, so I guess Im asking for things to change or add to my game. TIA:)
Best Adon I saw was an X-Adon player, poked with st. RK, cr FK, cr. FP. cr. SP was close range anti-poke. Rising Jaguar anti-air and used for combos, if opponent jumped in and he couldnāt do rising jaguar in time(which was rare) he used standing SP. He would spend some time faking with SK Jaguar tooth then changing strategies straight away to cross up air Jaguar kick into combo. Tick throws were used against good players. Overhead was occasionally used in poke patterns.
Jaguar kick was used as poke and for screen mobility/corner trapping. Would also be used as a jump-in to frustrate players, Adon would just jump towards them and Jaguar kick over them. This would frustrate the player alot and heād start capitalising on mistakes. If you started out prioritising him in the air jumping SP was used surprisingly effectively. Super was usually thrown out to hit laggy moves or to finish players off.
Itās great how the CPU has trouble with fireball/DP, and me jumping in with Fierce all day and doing combosā¦but it can break any non-legit or confusion VC immediately. Wonderful.
N-Ken: Yeah, thatās the problem most people run into after picking up V-Vegaā¦if you donāt use the midscreen (which is the pain in the ass to get down consistently), you donāt do any damage. Doesnāt change the fact that you can probably just run away from whoever youāre fighting pretty well, and thatās what you may want to do anyway. You can always go for the infinite, since Vega has so much priority on his jumping moves. But if the other guy decides that they donāt need to jump, either because they donāt need to or because youāve air thrown the shit out of them all match, you wonāt be landing that either. Vegaās hardā¦
But I suck, so you should probably wait for someone who actually PLAYS Vega to give some advice.
ā¦I think Rose vs Charlie is almost the same match in A3 that it is in A2. I think Charlie still loses, even though heās the better character here. Just being randomā¦
Damn, I wish there was somewhere to practice A3 around hereā¦
Jusr decided to put on Alpha 2 and SF2:CE yesterday and the AI is so funny, Bison in Alpha 2 acts just like shin bison in alpha 3, except instead of doing the huge psycho crusher he does the regular one hehehe, for some reason Sagat is Dumber in A3 than A2, in A3 he doesnt anti air half the time.
And I was playing Blanka in CE and half of his patterns look dreadfully similar to SFA3 Blanka haha
does anyone know any good vism combos with akuma
does anyone know any good vism combos with akuma
I was wondering that if I was using V-Akuma, is there any way to punish an A-Akuma player the does the divekick a lot?
And if you are not playing casual, you will use
guy
does anyone know a good combo with guy
well block the dive kick and then heāll live hiself open then juggle him to the corner with hurricane kick only use light kick keep repeating that and he shold be ia the corner activate your groove and kick his ass
If Akuma Divekicks at you heās about to start his poke string/mixup game, youāve got 3 options.
-
Try and get a poke in after a hurricane kick or DP, sometimes Akuma will throw or DP though which stuffs you up half the time.
-
Figure out what range the Akuma likes to jump in from, then whenever he gets to that range, be prepeared to jump and whack him before he can start the divekick.
-
This is what I use with my Cody, I just wait till Akuma gets to the peak of his jump, and then I jab him out of the dive-kick startup, works 90% of the time if you have good timing.
