New vids at a-cho.
Any Dan players here ? Iâve found he has great normals. And a fast counter poke projectile: tha gadoken !!.
a-cho updated again. âŚdidnât know Sodom could juggle with his standing ShortâŚ
btw, results:
http://a-cho.com/match/03/20050313.html
At the bottom of the page, the photograph: left to right Nekonohi, Asaba, DARK, Romii.
Winner- Dark (Gen)
2nd- Romii (Vega)
3rd- Asaba (Sodom
4th- Nekonohi
From the brackets above: apparently these vids are from the bracket on the right, as theyâre apparently two different tournies. Players from top to bottom, Hige (Ryu), Asaba (Sodom), DARK (Gen), Katou (Ryu), Nekonohi (Sagat), Chikachan (Akuma), Majikaru (âmagical,â Sakura), Romii(Vega).
Ahh, I guess this was the winnerâs tournament and the bracket on the left was the qualifierâŚ? Like the winner of that one gets to enter the winnerâs tourney.
Asaba beats both DARK and Nekonohi in something which, after running it through babelfish, translates to âwind godâ match. 2005/03/13-h.wmv is the winnerâs final apparently.
Iâm pretty sure itâs not, but noogie -> X-ISM super may be inescapable unless you have enough meter in V-ISM or a level 3 super that can be done while airborne.
On the other hand, with Gen kick throw in the corner followed by the super throw seems to be unescapable : if you flip you eat it if donât flip you eat it too.
No. The situation is similar to the one TS has described above. If you have enough meter, you can escape. If you anticipate Gen is going throw you on the other hand, and actually tech. bonus the throw; if the Gen player decides to follow up with the level 3 Jakouha, it will be inescapable.
Inescapable Jakouha is cheap.
well with guy⌠u can jump off the wall
Canât you counter with another move? Like Giefâs belly flop.
whats a karin vc that does crazy damage(that doesnt involve otg 360âs)? I know i could refer to the VC thread, but axor tells me many of the vcâs are outdated.
Iâll normally do c.mpXXqcf+PPP(till they knock up in the air), rdp+mp, mp, more of the rekkakaâs, and random stuff till the corner, then mash for dp palms, but I end up getting rekkakaâs and crossing myself up and messing it upâŚ
I would guess it depends on the character, and the level of super usedâŚlevel 3, youâd be grabbed out of any attack, but if you have one with the right hitboxes (ie Rose/Shoto jumping Short or 'Geifâs knees) you might be able to hit him out of it. I have seen a vid where Akuma flipped after the throw and wasnât grabbed, but I donât know if thatâs consistent (in which case it may be because he simply flipped backwards), or if Gen just threw him too far from the corner, or whatever. Gen may be able to option select something, like throw and then standing Jab xx Super, ditto X-Dhalsim, and Guy for that matter, but IIRC that already made it into Xenozipâs Guy vid. Though, itâd be harder with Dhalsim since you wouldnât know when theyâd mash out.
Ignore my ramblings.
Unfortunately, her most damaging VCS involve her throw (other than he corner palm juggle). This is because she scales like a whore.
And what is qcf+ppp? Does she have such a move?
^Rekkas?
I think itâs supposed to be QCF+P, P, P (standard 3 palm rekka chain).
^ ya, thats what i ment⌠phew, aside from not putting the commas in, i thought i was in my own world or somethingâŚ
I have serious problems against chunli, mostly because of her jumping short. I tried several things but I canât counter it. I play v-sakura and most of my matches against chunli goes like this : the chunli player jumps in and eat a vc, at the end of course I have no meter (canât do the vc ender to regain meter consistently) and I get straight owned because I cant stop her from jumping at me all the time. Any thoughts about that ?
Is this happening on kaillera? Becuase a lot of kaillera scrubs just jump around with chun all day. Albeit her j.short has really good priority but there should be no reason why itâs giving you that much trouble. If you can anticipate her jumping then do j.strong or airthrow. If not, just walk under her.
Yes itâs happening on kaillera. The chunli player I was taking about isnât a scrub actually, he knows chunli very well and itâs hard for me to find openings. The airtrow wonât work because he does the jumping short quite early, so by the time I sart to jump at him to throw him, the jumping short is already out and I eat it.
Jumping strong is a good option but it must be done early, and I find it difficult to do on reaction (maybe my reflexes sucks or it has something to do with lag, I donât know). As for walking under her, it almost never works because if you try that you get corssupped (the hit box of the jumping short is HUGE, which is why itâs such a deadly crossup, very easy to land).
In addition:
Chun jumps, walk a bit back, as chun is about to land, do b+FP-> fireball. Chun will block. Wash, rinse, repeat. After a while your opponent will be trying to get in closer before jumping. Zone with b+FP-> fireball.
bowiegranap : actually I use this technique a lot, especially against Zangief. But Itâs way harder to do that against chunli, because she travels a long distance with her jump, plus her jumping short has a fairly long range. So most of the time when tried that,
I ended up blocking the jumping short and this is when the nightmare begins : he can go for a throw or a close FP which he can follow up with doww+RH or with another crossup short (after a blocked close FP heâs at the perfect distance for a crossup) and this goes on and on an on⌠and I canât do shit
well, when all else failsâŚs.jab that shit
