Have you guys tried this combo. It ends at the second crouching MP.
Here is the combo:
Jump in HK / cr.mp x sonic boom x cr.mp x sonic boom or flashkick.
This is the problem I am dealing with. I can do the first three but after the SECOND CR.MP, I wasn’t able to do anything. My question is whether it is possible to cancel the second cr.mp into sonic boom or flash kick?
I wonder if you guys have ever had such a problem as I do. Whenever I try to cancel the cr.hp of Gouki into his fireball super(hcbx2 + punch), it usually ends up with his dragon punch rather than the fireball super. This is the way how I cancel it:
:r: :df: :d: + :p: :db: :l: :hcb: + :p: .It just ends up with the dragon punch, which is too bad.
Hey I also got a question about Linking combos about SFA 3. When you choose X-ism, you could do linking combos. I just wonder how you guys cancel either the s.lp or cr.lp into the s.hp or cr.hp? Could u guys help me out?

Gen is a hundred billion thousand hundred times better in A-ISM than X. I made a typo myself saying he was better in X when I meant to put A, I should probably go correct that…
kenryuakuma- first of all, combo into the super using crouching forward, it’s much easier. Secondly, letting go of HP triggers the DP…you can do special moves by doing " :qcf: (let go of button)" instead of just hitting one. Hold onto HP until you finish the super motion.
TS and Snowe: Well about the CPS chain. Don’t you mean that we have to cancel the lp with the lp+hp at the same time. Ok, to be more clear, first we gotta press lp, at that moment, we press lp+hp together at once. Is it what you mean? Well, it sounds very similar to guy’s chain combo into his super kick. Instead of four hits, guy cancels his lat kick from the chain combo into the super. I am kind of confused.
Drunken Master: damn it it so damn hard to cancel the s.hp into the super flashkick with the method you told me. But if I tried it with my own method like some other guys told me, it won’t work. I am pretty sure the way you told me is guarantee, but it is as hard as hell. Are there any shortcuts or tricks that enable the combo to be done easier?
Sorry man. That’s the only way I know how to do it. Try it without the jump-in first.
charge back-down… go to neutral and quickly hit HP (hold it), do 360+K starting at towards. You have to hit the kick button before the hitspark of the HP is gone… right after it hits.
Once you get the hang of it, it’s not too hard. I can do it at least 75% of the time. Then you try it with thew jump in… then you can try it with the jump in, AND cps1 chain in X-ism… THEN you can try it with the jump-in, cps1 chain, and a meaty jab boom at the start of the combo.
A lot of practice. The OTG window for the demon flip throw is very small – 3 frames. If you factor in the time you cancel from the RK (around 25 or so frames) and the time to press punch to activate the punch throw, plus the distance… it isn’t easy. Personaly, I find it the hardest move to do with consistency in Z3 (even harder than Ryu’s Shin SRK).
Alright man! Let me try it again this time. But in fact, it is pretty damn hard, Drunkmaster, especially if you do this with a pad instead of a joystick. I think speed is the main key to pull this combo off.
Hey guys has anyone seen or got the Street Fighter translated artbook? If so does it have Alpha 3 in it? I noticed the advertisement in the Streetfighter comic said stuff about endings and all kind of stuff.
If they translated that then theres hope they could translated All about Zero 3 !!! Well i’m wishing lol
well, as far as I know, there should be a few if you don’t mind taking an effort to go to Amazon or Yesasia. In addition, There are tons of comic books of ALPHA3 in Chinese and Japanese. Unfortunately, I have never seen any English comics of Alpha3.
To Drunkmaster:
well, if I set the speed to free 2, it works perfectly. I don’t have difficulty doing it. But if I just change to turbo 1 or 2, it is hard as hell to pull it off.
For the BAS OTG, hit the punch button for the grab late, if that helps any. Like when you do the demon flip and don’t hit a button, you know how that slide move comes out (the one with Akuma’s crouching Forward animation)? You grab them right before the slide would come out, so try and do it at the last possible second. Also give yourself about a half a second before you go from the crouching Roundhouse into the demon flip.
Once you recognize the timing, the combo isn’t that hard and you can sort of work it into muscle memory. I don’t even play Akuma, and I could probably get it to work about 6 out 10 times.
Recently I discovered online play. Even though I only have 56k its not that bad. Anyway um I’m having trouble with Blanka. I’m using Guy btw.
The guy’s always doing electricity which seems to be IMMUNUE. Tried hitting him and sweeping him always get shocked -_-
I figured I’d use super whenever he pulls it from now on but what if I don’t have super. Anyway to get around it?
Also with Blanka’s rolling ball. Can’t punish it as he flys back pretty fast. Any suggestions for that? Was thinking some well timed jabs or cr.mp would do the trick.
If you’re Guy, then I believe his qcb+HP move will stop the electricity (he is invincible during the spinning part of that elbow move). As for the BLanka’s rolling ball, down + HK can hit him as he is flying backwards…You might be able to get in his kick super. There isn’t really any need to time your jabs…if Blanka’s sitting in the other corner charging, then I usually just mash jab, which usually hits him out of it (heh, I even used Chun-Li’s taunt and hit him out of Blanka ball).
Basically in X-ISM, if your character has a rapid fire weak attack, you can chain a rapid fire weak attack into a fierce punch. You do the fierce punch by pushing the weak attack and fierce together.
As an example, Sakura’s cr.LK is a rapid fire weak attack. She can do: cr. LK, cr. LK, LK+HP xx whatever. What happens is, she does 2 crouching shorts, then by pushing LK+HP together, a (CPS1) chained standing fierce will come out, then she can combo that into whatever.
