Alpha 3 Kawaks replays

Shin Bison is actually very easy to beat.

No, you lose and get Ryu’s ending.

If you’re on IRC somewhere let me know what name and network you use and I’ll send the vids to you.

I know how to beat Shin Bison, I was saying Ryu is hard to beat.

Oh and your right about Bison losing, it must be when Bison wins, you hear things from Ryu’s point of view trapped inside the Psycho drive.

Yes, but that still sounds like Shin Bison is hard to beat. He’s actually one of the easiest opponents.

Thanks for the replay, MJ ! The BB OTG finisher is a nice touch!

I was working on doing a new replay but I happened to find that X-Chun is a complete WHORE in expert! A and V Chuns weaknesses are her fireball and her flip kick, in X-ism she doesn’t have either so i dunno what the hell your supposed to do most of the time, her Spinning bird kick, lighting kick and super all do obscene amounts of block damage. I’m using Bison and X-Gief is no problem once you figure out how to use guerilla tactics on him, and X-Ken is an annoyance, but X-Chun is just a BITCH! I can still beat her 2nd or 3rd go but jeeeezzzz.

i have been playing V-ken during the 3 past weeks… and i can say that is very good to the point that now i dont miss his A-ism supers… ill post a rec later…

Anyone remember what the default Mhz for Kawaks is? I still have it set to 15

CPS2 = 11.8 MHz

Well here’s me finishing on expert with Bison again this time not losing to Ryu on the final stage. Seems kinda pathetic how much the CPU falls for repeated Fierce in the corner, but when you ever try and set up a complex trap they are always able to reversal out of it.

Kawaks 11.8 Mhz

HA! I can’t believe it, I just replayed the recording file and it stuffs up my button inputs during the Akuma fight, to hell with Kawaks, I’m going back to Final Burn.

First time I’ve seen a Kawaks replay desync, damn.

I prefer Final Burn for playing back. No filename restrictions and you can just double-click the replay file. Final Burn Alpha downloads of old versions are suspended right now. If you wanna make sure that everybody can easily watch your stuff you might wanna use the latest version.

Here’s my replay of Dan defeating expert Ryu. It was hard (or i was lucky :D) but i did it.

Anyway heres a working A-Bison replay finished on expert only one round lost to ken cause i was impatient(I hate waiting for Kens patterns yawn) on FBA 2.94

V-Bison seems really interesting, and his colours are cool too  so I might give him a go.

Heres my V-Cody without VC’s XD… watch it…

Nice practice with the CC’s Psycore I really have to get into the habit of following up air-air counterhits since bison gets so many.

Good job everybody. Keep it up.

Muskau: I was reading some old posts and saw that you’re using X-Cody. How about a replay?

I used to use X-Cody on PSX A3 his 80% corner juggles were much easier in that version, but I found that if you want the super to connect against any competent player guaranteed it has to be a air-air counterhit with the super, you can also connect with it around mid screen and juggle with two jumping kicks to get to the corner, during the super period the opponent cannot flip out as long as they were hit while the super was active.

I haven’t played X-Cody for a while but I’ll see what I can come up with.

Been trying to practice X-Cody Final Destruction setups (they do heaps of damage but the chance that you’ll get a chance to do them is slim) , from jumping JP counterhit near the corner, you can cc. j.FP, land in the corner, cr. SP, RK Ruffian Kick, then activate Final Destruction (you can use the super invincibility to pass through flip out attacks if you want) then [st. P, cr. P] (x5), then jumping kick. Did around 70% against expert CPU opponent so it should do more against live opponents.

I haven’t been able to do the st. P, st. P, j. K Super combo that I used to do on PSX I think that Cody’s hit area on his punch is smaller, perhaps theres a different way to do it?

Also another way to setup is a hurricane launcher in the corner then if the opponent uses flipout activate super etc etc

Guaranteed setup is counter hit anti-air or air-air super jumping kick, around the middle of the screen is the farthest distance you can start from to get to the corner. Just do two jumping kicks and you’ll be in the corner and you can start the rest of the combo from there.

The Knife does heaps of block and guard damage in X-ism, it might be worth it to use it more often.

Anyways thats what I’ve discovered while mucking around, if I actually get a good run I’ll record it.

Just trying to find out how to get all this kawaks stuff working on my PC (it seems that I’m missing out) and came across this…

Thanks for the idea. ESPECIALLY for 2p rolento who can get into the corner! I’m gonna try it out.
