jump in punishment list

I compiled a short list of fairly practical jump in punishment list off of blocked/parried supers I tried to keep it fairly practical and not screen/spacing specific (excluding Alex) and to supers you might actually see used in tourney play

~note I list the attack you can do in the air and follow it up on the ground with s fpxwhatever (note if it says fp you can do rh instead if you chose)

(note you can also sj twds depending on the timing of your jump)

Sa3 red parry 2nd hit neutral jump fp

Sa1 on parry neutral jumping rh

Sa2 block/parry first three hits neutral jump and parry last hit in the air jumping fp

(note you can also parry the second hit and twds jump instant air ex tsurugi to land behind them for a free st. fp on other half of the screen)

also, i tried to do that mk kara hayate on ken this weekend. the kara itself is just like the hk kara like i thought, but the timing to get it to hit is extremely tight after the ex hayate, it feels really really late. didn’t bother with it in tourney, but now i have something else worth practicing:nunchuck:

i hit 0% of my mk kara hayates in the tournament :stuck_out_tongue:

FR is now my favorite console tournament of the year i think… if evo wasn’t in vegas, i mean :X

st fwd and cr rh work on all the shotos (akuma not needed of course) and twelve
*edit–pointing out it also worked on Sean as it was already known about ryu and ken…

cr rh also works on dud

so that just leaves out the twins and Necro as the only characters mak can’t hayate post corner ex hayate

P.S. timming has to be perfect

i thought you could jab hayate necro, maybe i’m wrong >.> and i’m glad people were testing out C.RH because my execution is crap and i knew it was possible! also everytime i try it on the twins in the brawl hall they fall hella funny almost as if some 3rd strike god pushes them out of the way no matter how hard you try =(

Necro surprisingly needs the kara for the distance but falls a hair to fast to get hit by it, and the twins case way to fast…

Works on Akuma too.

tech roll, you can dash through them to cross them up

correct me if i’m wrong but mp upper beats alexs jump in attacks, sometimes trades with jump in roundhouse. i try to generally dash under most jump ins though, it can get dangerous.

What Mackinzie meant was that if they quick rise (tech roll) after getting knocked down, you can dash through them, crossing them up. Nothing about jump-ins.

I know it has been asked before in-thread and is addressed in the thread post, but I still can’t always make kara-DP happen.

I can always make the kara-DP happen 100% of the time, but the move-back doesn’t always happen, just a normal MP DP happens

I input the DP motion but don’thold down 3, stop for a TINY TINY TINY split second, HK, and MP pretty much the exact moment I press HK down, and an MP will always come out, but only about 20% of time does the range backwards ever happen

So basically I think I’m getting the kara-DP 100% of the time, but not the intented effect. It moves back noticably right?

if makoto isn’t moving back you’re either getting a c.hk kara or no kara at all… it’s possible to do hk,mp too quickly, i think

does the reset at ~2:06 work on everybody, or just fat people + other random chars that let you dash under them in the corner?
i never have anything interesting to do when i sa2 somebody into the corner + i always get excited when i see some new ex fukiage gimmick :sweat:

luckily the dude didn’t record the next 2 games where i lost. turtle ken gets the best of me too often. :x

i think i know what you’re talking about… when you do the motion, let the stick go to neutral then drum hk, mp. more effective for me that way… i always get the kara.
