i got this one only after like 10 tries which is leaps and bounds faster than my attempt against urien c.c;

can you double dp dudley with no kara?

Some guy at my arcade was criticizing the fact that I used the damage combo instead of the stun combo. I was like oh yeah I can’t do it. He said “you have to do the dp backwards” and I said yeah I know but you have to kara it. He said “no you just dash and srk”.

I know this shit. hcb+k, fpxSAII dash rdp neutral RH then mp, dash and dp+lp. I wrote the guy off as an asshole for trying to tell somebody else how to play their character, but I still want to know for sure.

So…topic?

well there’s the combo some ppl (me) do for stun, the dmg combo with tsurugis and stuff (and variations thereuf), and the 100% stun combo. I think that gu means the first one. which is just dash hp Fukiage jumpcancel j.hp. Good 'ol Izu… sigh.

There is other Stun combo, but is hard as hell and only connects on Makoto, Yun and Yang (no tested on other chars):

Karakusa Hp xx Abare xx iLk Tsurugi, Lp//Mp Fukiage jc. Hp. but like i said before: i don’t know if this combo connects on another chars than Ma, Yu, Ya. ^^U

BTW: Alex no need Kara to do the double Fukiage combo.

No, I know about the 90% stun. I was wondering if there was a no kara double dp. However, after reviewing the facts, the guy is an idiot.

i don’t think that works on dudley >.>

though i’m sure it works on shoto’s (but you should just easy stun akuma no point in fucking around don’t give that gay any leeway)

Like i said: I don’t know if that combo works on other chars that Ma, Yu, Ya… Feel free to try it on anyone, maybe it can connect on other chars.

i tried doing this combo that i seen on the first page

  1. Karakusa >> HP -> EX Hayate

how do u combo the HP after the karakusa.

i tried doing it and she just lifts up the opponent hits their face and drops them. i cant get any punch to come out, she just drops him to the ground.

double tap hp when their feet touch the ground that’s what i do

Newb question:

Just switched over to Makoto, and have a quick question. I’m sorry if it has been answered. I’m not at home and able to test it right now, so please answer if you don’t mind.

When doing karakusa, s.hp xx SAII, cancel into dash, kara MP Fukiage, dash, LP Fukiage, why do you need to kara the first? I played Makoto for a day before going out of town (where I am now), and just learned the basic follow up of dash, fukiage, sj cancel, HP, which was easy, but I saw this one and it seemed like the better choice.

Why do you need to kara the first is what I’m asking I guess. I assume it is to get you the distance to dash and hit the next fukiage?

makoto moves just a bit further when you kara the first fukiage, so when you dash back and do the jab fukiage, it’ll barely hit.

You can Kara the 2nd Fukiage w c. Rk… I NEVER GET THIS CANCEL (or, if i get it, i didn’t notice of, sorry ^^U). This Means that you have 2 chances to get the 100% stun combo, but like said Xsonicc before than me: You must do the Kara on the first Fukiage to “backwards” a bit more to connect the 2nd Fukiage after you dash into the enemy. BTW: you must calculate the height to hit w it, cause some chars must be ‘punished’ early than others (like Urien or Dudley)

Have any of you guys found success with kara-EX Fukiage as an anti-air? I’ve been messing around with this and it’s pretty decent when used sparingly.

I’ve found it does TONS of stun, it’s pretty tricky (crosses up opponent from underneath them, much like Dudley’s ducking xx super against a jumping opponent), and since it’s a Fukiage, you can followup with her usual shenanigans.

Like I said, I use it sparingly (maybe 1-2 per match), but it’s a pretty decent addition to her already fearsome anti-air game. What have you guys found in your testing? Not worth the meter? Parry bait? Discuss.

I use it at every opportunity I can, it works very well. Usually if your playing against a person who is good at zoning and will almost never do a close range jump-in, they sometimes like to jump from perfect kara-EX fukiage distance. I have never had it parried, and its definitely worth the meter. I find that I dont do it often only because it kind of requires you to already be prepared to do it before they jump. Maybe it will become second-nature to you if you do it enough though. Just be careful you dont miss like an inch short, that has happened to me on a few occations.

i think it works pretty well on larger characters. I used to use it a lot but kind of lost the execution on it these days. i was practicing the kara-fukiage a lot at one point so it was coming out pretty naturally but not as much anymore.

I have kind of an unorthodox Makoto question.
Arlieth didn’t have the two intro and two winning pose quotes translated in his FAQ, so I was wondering if anyone knew what Makoto is saying in her intro/outtros.

Romanji or English would be much appreciated!

are you writing a fan fic?

I wasn’t planning on it, but if it helps my case, then I am now. Why do you ask?

Just a curious Makoto player/fan.
